人若赚得全世界，却丧失自己的生命，又有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换回自己的生命呢？

巴勒就照巴兰的话做了。他们二人在每座坛上献上一头公牛和一只公绵羊，巴兰对巴勒说：“你留在燔祭旁边，我到前面去，也许耶和华会来见我。无论祂有什么指示，我必告诉你。”

就起誓答应她无论要什么都可以。

服侍王的太监哈波拿说：“哈曼为那救驾有功的末底改做了一个二十三米高的木架，如今正立在哈曼家里。”王说：“把哈曼吊在上面！”

“从收割那天开始算起，你们要算出七周的时间。

魔鬼再带耶稣到一座极高的山上，把世上万国及其荣华富贵展示给祂看，说：“如果你俯伏敬拜我，我就把这一切都给你。”

巴勒对巴兰说：“上次派人请你，你为何不肯来？难道我不能给你重赏吗？”

向他们夸耀自己的荣华富贵和儿孙满堂，以及王怎样擢升他，使他位极人臣。
