神对巴兰说：“你不可同他们去，也不可咒诅那民，因为那民是蒙福的。”

上帝曰、爾勿偕往、亦勿詛民、蓋斯民受祝矣、

天主諭巴蘭曰、毋偕之往、毋詛斯民、因斯民已蒙福矣、

But God said to Balaam,“ Do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed.”

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (niv)

My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.” (niv)

However, the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you. (niv)

Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord. (niv)

Then Balaam said to Balak,“ Stay here beside your offering while I go aside. Perhaps the Lord will come to meet with me. Whatever he reveals to me I will tell you.” Then he went off to a barren height. (niv)

David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:“ Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. (niv)

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. (niv)

Then Balak said to him,“ Come with me to another place where you can see them; you will not see them all but only the outskirts of their camp. And from there, curse them for me.”So he took him to the field of Zophim on the top of Pisgah, and there he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.Balaam said to Balak,“ Stay here beside your offering while I meet with him over there.” (niv)

and said,“ I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” (niv)

While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message:“ Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.” (niv)

There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel,‘ See what God has done!’ (niv)

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. (niv)

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds,he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, (niv)

Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights.” (niv)

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. (niv)
