Then the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD that he would take away the snakes from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The people came to Moses and said,“ We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The others came to Moses. They said,“ We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

Then the people came to Moses and cried out,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Intercede with the LORD so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

So the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and against you; intercede with the Lord, that He will remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah, and against thee; pray unto Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that He will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people came to Moses, and said,“ We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said,“ Pray to the LORD that he may take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will release the people that they may sacrifice to the LORD.”

But Simon replied,“ You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to me.”

When the people cried to Moses, he prayed to the LORD, and the fire died out.

When he struck them down, they sought his favor; they turned back and longed for God.

Pharaoh said,“ I will release you so that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the desert. Only you must not go very far. Do pray for me.”

The king pled with the prophet,“ Seek the favor of the LORD your God and pray for me, so that my hand may be restored.” So the prophet sought the LORD’s favor and the king’s hand was restored to its former condition.

So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job will intercede for you, and I will respect him, so that I do not deal with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has.”

I prayed to him: O, Lord GOD, do not destroy your people, your valued property that you have powerfully redeemed, whom you brought out of Egypt by your strength.Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; ignore the stubbornness, wickedness, and sin of these people.Otherwise the people of the land from which you brought us will say,“ The LORD was unable to bring them to the land he promised them, and because of his hatred for them he has brought them out to kill them in the desert.”They are your people, your valued property, whom you brought out with great strength and power.

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!” But they said,“ What is that to us? You take care of it yourself!”

He threatened to destroy them, but Moses, his chosen one, interceded with him and turned back his destructive anger.

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites is for their salvation.

So Pharaoh sent and summoned Moses and Aaron and said to them,“ I have sinned this time! The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are guilty.Pray to the LORD, for the mighty thunderings and hail are too much! I will release you and you will stay no longer.”

The next day Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a very serious sin, but now I will go up to the LORD– perhaps I can make atonement on behalf of your sin.”

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God and said,“ O LORD, why does your anger burn against your people, whom you have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

So now, let the power of my Lord be great, just as you have said,‘ The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children until the third and fourth generations.’Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.”Then the LORD said,“ I have forgiven them as you asked.

Saul again replied,“ I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel. Go back with me so I may worship the LORD your God.”

Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned, for I have disobeyed what the LORD commanded and what you said as well. For I was afraid of the army, and I followed their wishes.

Then the LORD said to me,“ Even if Moses and Samuel stood before me pleading for these people, I would not feel pity for them! Get them away from me! Tell them to go away!

All the people said to Samuel,“ Pray to the LORD your God on behalf of us– your servants– so we won’t die, for we have added to all our sins by asking for a king.”Then Samuel said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. You have indeed sinned. However, don’t turn aside from the LORD. Serve the LORD with all your heart.You should not turn aside after empty things that can’t profit and can’t deliver, since they are empty.The LORD will not abandon his people because he wants to uphold his great reputation. The LORD was pleased to make you his own people.As far as I am concerned, far be it from me to sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you! I will instruct you in the way that is good and upright.

So the LORD restored what Job had lost after he prayed for his friends, and the LORD doubled all that had belonged to Job.

Then I will return again to my lair until they have suffered their punishment. Then they will seek me; in their distress they will earnestly seek me.

But now give back the man’s wife. Indeed he is a prophet and he will pray for you; thus you will live. But if you don’t give her back, know that you will surely die along with all who belong to you.”

The LORD was also angry enough at Aaron to kill him, but at that time I prayed for him too.

King Zedekiah sent Jehucal son of Shelemiah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah to the prophet Jeremiah. He told them to say,“ Please pray to the LORD our God on our behalf.”
