人民來見摩西說：『我們說壞話攻擊永恆主和你，我們有罪了；求你禱告永恆主叫蛇離開我們。』於是摩西為人民禱告。

百姓到摩西那里，说：“我们怨讟耶和华和你，有罪了。求你祷告耶和华，叫这些蛇离开我们。”于是摩西为百姓祷告。

The people came to Moses and said,“ We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The others came to Moses. They said,“ We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

Then the people came to Moses and cried out,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Intercede with the LORD so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

So the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and against you; intercede with the Lord, that He will remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah, and against thee; pray unto Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that He will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

法老把摩西、亞倫召了來，說：『你們懇求永恆主叫青蛙離開我和我人民，我就讓你們人民走、去獻祭給永恆主。』

西門回答說：『請替我祈求主吧，使你們所說的沒有一樣臨到我身上。』

人民向摩西哀叫，摩西禱告永恆主，火就熄了。

每逢他殺了他們的時候，他們總求問他，總回心轉意、迫切切地尋求上帝。

法老說：『我倒可以讓你們走，去到曠野獻祭給永恆主你們的上帝；只是不可走得太遠。你們也請為我懇求神。』

王應時對神人說：『請為我禱告，求求永恆主你的上帝的情面，使我的手能縮回來。』神人一求永恆主的情面，王的手就縮回了來，像起先一樣。

現在你們要取七隻公牛、七隻公綿羊、到我僕人約伯那裏，為你們自己獻上燔祭；我僕人約伯就要為你們祈禱；因為我不按你們的冥頑不靈來辦你們，是看他的情面的；因為你們議論到我、不如我僕人約伯說的正確。』

我禱告永恆主說：「我主永恆主啊，求你不要毁滅你的人民、你的產業、就是你用你的至大所贖救的、你用大力的手從埃及所領出來的。求你記得你僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各；不要顧到這人民的頑梗和他們的惡、他們的罪，免得你領我們從那裏出來的那地的人說：『永恆主因為不能把這人民領進他所應許的地，又因為恨着他們，才把他們領出去，要在曠野害死他們。』其實他們是你的人民、你的產業，你用大能力和伸出的膀臂所領出來的。」

說：『我把無辜人送官處死，我有罪了。』他們說：『那與我們何干？你自理吧！』

故此他說要消滅他們；若非有他所揀選的摩西當決裂之時站在他面前，使他的烈怒轉消，避免施行殺滅，他們早已滅亡了。

弟兄們，我心裏所切願、我向上帝所替以色列人祈求的、就是他們之得救。

於是法老打發人把摩西、亞倫召了來，對他們說：『這一次我是犯了罪了：永恆主無不是；我和我的人民都不對。這雷轟和冰雹已經夠了：懇求永恆主吧！我就讓你們走，不再叫你們住在這裏。』

第二天摩西對人民說：『你們真地犯了大罪了；如今我要上永恆主那裏去，或者可以為你們贖罪。』

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，使你們得醫治，義人竭力的祈求是大有功效的。

摩西便求永恆主他的上帝的情面，說：『永恆主啊，你為甚麼向你的人民發怒呢？這人民是你用大能用大力的手從埃及地領出來的呀！

現在求主大顯能力，照你所說過的話說：「永恆主不輕易發怒，乃有豐盛的堅愛；他饒赦罪愆、過犯；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、到三四代。」求你照你堅愛之宏大、照你從埃及到如今常饒赦這人民的樣子、赦免這人民的罪愆。』永恆主說：『照你的話、我赦免他們了；

掃羅說：『我有罪了，求你當着我人民的長老面前、也當着以色列人面前、尊重尊重我，同我回去，我好敬拜永恆主你的上帝。』

掃羅對撒母耳說：『我有罪了；我因為懼怕眾民、而聽從他們的話，就越犯了永恆主所吩咐的、和你所說的。

永恆主對我說：『就使有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前來代求，我的心也不向着這人民。從我面前給打發走，叫他們出去！

眾民對撒母耳說：『請為僕人們禱告永恆主你的上帝，免得我們死亡，因為求立王的事、正是在我們的一切罪上加了一件壞事。』撒母耳對人民說：『不要懼怕；你們固然行了這一切壞事了，只是不可偏離永恆主，總要盡心事奉他；不可偏向無益而不能援救人的虛空神，因為他們是虛空的。永恆主為了他至大之名的緣故、必不丟棄他的人民，因為永恆主喜歡使你們做屬他的子民。至於我呢，我絕不停止為你們禱告、而犯罪得罪永恆主；我總要將好而對的道路指教你們。

約伯為他的朋友祈禱、永恆主就恢復約伯的故業；永恆主並且將約伯從前一切所有的都加倍賜給他。

我必返回我的原處，等到他們自認有罪，急難臨到他們時，他們必急切尋求我，尋求見我的面。

如今你要把這人的妻子還給他，因為他是個神人，他會為你禱告，使你活着。如果你不還給他，你可要知道、你必定死，你和你所有的一切人都必定死。』

永恆主也非常惱怒亞倫，要消滅他；那時候我也為亞倫禱告。

西底家王打發了示利米雅的兒子猶甲、和祭司瑪西雅的兒子西番雅去見神言人耶利米，說：『請為我們禱告永恆主我們的上帝。』
