The people came to Moses and said,“ We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

Then the people came to Moses and cried out,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Intercede with the LORD so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

So the people came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and against you; intercede with the Lord, that He will remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said,“ We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah, and against thee; pray unto Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people then came to Moses and said,“ We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that He will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said,“ Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.” (niv)

Then Simon answered,“ Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.” (niv)

When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the Lord and the fire died down. (niv)

Whenever God slew them, they would seek him; they eagerly turned to him again. (niv)

Pharaoh said,“ I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me.” (niv)

Then the king said to the man of God,“ Intercede with the Lord your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored.” So the man of God interceded with the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored and became as it was before. (niv)

So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” (niv)

I prayed to the Lord and said,“ Sovereign Lord, do not destroy your people, your own inheritance that you redeemed by your great power and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Overlook the stubbornness of this people, their wickedness and their sin.Otherwise, the country from which you brought us will say,‘ Because the Lord was not able to take them into the land he had promised them, and because he hated them, he brought them out to put them to death in the wilderness.’But they are your people, your inheritance that you brought out by your great power and your outstretched arm.” (niv)

“ I have sinned,” he said,“ for I have betrayed innocent blood.”“ What is that to us?” they replied.“ That’s your responsibility.” (niv)

So he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from destroying them. (niv)

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. (niv)

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron.“ This time I have sinned,” he said to them.“ The Lord is in the right, and I and my people are in the wrong.Pray to the Lord, for we have had enough thunder and hail. I will let you go; you don’t have to stay any longer.” (niv)

The next day Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” (niv)

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (niv)

But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God.“ Lord,” he said,“ why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? (niv)

“ Now may the Lord’s strength be displayed, just as you have declared:‘ The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”The Lord replied,“ I have forgiven them, as you asked. (niv)

Saul replied,“ I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord your God.” (niv)

Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. (niv)

Then the Lord said to me:“ Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! (niv)

The people all said to Samuel,“ Pray to the Lord your God for your servants so that we will not die, for we have added to all our other sins the evil of asking for a king.”“ Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied.“ You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless.For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. (niv)

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. (niv)

Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face— in their misery they will earnestly seek me.” (niv)

Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure that you and all who belong to you will die.” (niv)

And the Lord was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I prayed for Aaron too. (niv)

King Zedekiah, however, sent Jehukal son of Shelemiah with the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah to Jeremiah the prophet with this message:“ Please pray to the Lord our God for us.” (niv)
