And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong.

But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

摩西就把亞摩利王西宏和巴珊王噩的國土及周圍的城邑都給了迦得的子孫、呂便的子孫和約瑟兒子瑪拿西的半個支派。迦得的子孫重建了底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄·朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯·寧拉和伯·哈蘭，使之成為堅固的城池，並建了羊圈。呂便的子孫重建了希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力·免和西比瑪。他們為重建的城邑起了新名字，如尼波和巴力·免。瑪拿西之子瑪吉的子孫佔領了基列，趕走了那裡的亞摩利人。摩西就把基列賜給瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，作他的居所。瑪拿西的子孫雅珥佔領了基列的村莊，將它們改名為哈倭特·雅珥。挪巴佔領了基納及其周圍的村莊，就按自己的名字稱基納為挪巴。

後來，以法蓮人召集軍隊，渡過約旦河來到撒分。他們對耶弗他說：「你為什麼不召我們一起去攻打亞捫人呢？我們要把你和你的房子一起燒掉。」耶弗他說：「我和我的人民與亞捫人激戰時，我曾召你們參戰，你們卻不肯來援救我們。

以色列人在約旦河東岸殺死了兩個王，佔據了他們的領土：自亞嫩谷直到黑門山，包括東面的整個亞拉巴。這兩個王一個是住在希實本的亞摩利王西宏。他統轄的地區從亞嫩谷旁的亞羅珥，包括山谷中部和基列的一半，直到亞捫人邊境的雅博河。他的領土還包括約旦河谷東部：從加利利海至亞拉巴海，也就是鹽海，到伯·耶西末，直到毗斯迦的山麓。

祂毀滅列國，殺戮強大的君王：亞摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩和迦南所有的君王。祂把這些國家的土地賜給祂的以色列子民，作為他們的產業。

瑪拿西半個支派和呂便、迦得兩支派已經得到耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東分給他們的產業：從亞嫩谷旁的亞羅珥起，包括谷中的城，直到底本的整個米底巴平原，以及希實本的亞摩利王西宏統治的各城，直到亞捫的邊境。

耶和華對我說，『看啊，我已把西宏和他的土地交給你了，去佔領那裡，奪取他的土地吧。』西宏率領全軍在雅雜與我們交戰。我們的上帝耶和華使西宏父子及其軍隊敗在我們手下，全軍覆沒。我們攻佔了西宏的所有城邑，將其夷為平地，殺光城中的男女老幼，一個不留，只留下牲畜和財物作戰利品。從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列的所有城邑全被我們攻克，我們的上帝耶和華把這一切都交給了我們。我們遵照我們的上帝耶和華的吩咐，沒有侵犯亞捫人的土地，即雅博河一帶和山區的城邑。
