於是以色列人向耶和華許願，說：“如果你把這民交在我手裡，我就必把他們的城盡行毀滅。”

Then Israel made this vow to the Lord:“ If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities.”

Then Israel made a promise to the Lord. They said,“ Hand these people over to us. If you do, we will set their cities apart to you in a special way to be destroyed.”

And Israel vowed a vow to the Lord and said,“ If you will indeed give this people into my hand, then I will devote their cities to destruction.”

Then the people of Israel made this vow to the Lord:“ If you will hand these people over to us, we will completely destroy all their towns.”

Then Israel made a vow to the LORD,“ If you will hand this people over to us, we will completely destroy their cities.”

So Israel made a vow to the Lord and said,“ If You will indeed hand over this people to me, then I will utterly destroy their cities.”

於是雅各許了一個願說：“如果神與我同在，在我所走的路上看顧我，賜我食物吃，給我衣服穿，

耶弗他向耶和華許願，說：“如果你真的把亞捫人交在我手裡，

過了四年（按照《馬索拉文本》，“四年”作“四十年”；現參照各古譯本翻譯），押沙龍對王說：“求你准我到希伯崙去，好向耶和華還我所許的願。因為僕人住在亞蘭的基述的時候，曾經許了一個願說：‘如果耶和華使我再回到耶路撒冷來，我就要在希伯崙事奉他。’”

這城要完全毀滅，城和城中的一切都歸耶和華；只有妓女喇合，和所有與她在家中的都可以存活，因為她收藏了我們派去的使者。

“一切永屬耶和華的聖物，就是人永獻給耶和華的物，無論是人或是牲畜，或是他承受作產業的田地，都不可以變賣，也不可以贖回；一切永獻之物都是歸耶和華為至聖的。如果有人永獻牲畜作永屬耶和華的聖物，就不可贖回；必須把牠殺死。

神啊！我要償還我向你所許的願，我要把感謝祭獻給你。因為你救了我的性命脫離死亡；你不是救了我的腳不跌倒，使我在生命的光中，行在神你的面前嗎？

那時，約書亞要人民起誓，說：“起來重建這耶利哥城的，那人在耶和華面前是可咒可詛的；他立地基的時候必喪長子；他安城門的時候必失幼子。”

並且許願，說：“萬軍之耶和華啊，你若是看顧使女的困苦，記念我，不忘記你的使女，賜給使女一個兒子，我就必把他一生獻給耶和華，不剃他的頭。”

他怎樣向耶和華起誓，向雅各的大能者許願，說：

我要在耶和華的眾民面前，向他還我所許的願。

你就要用刀劍把那城裡的居民殺掉，把那城和城裡的一切，以及牲畜，都用刀劍完全毀滅。

如果有人不愛主，他就該受咒詛。主啊，願你來！
