于是以色列人向耶和华许愿，说：“如果你把这民交在我手里，我就必把他们的城尽行毁灭。”

Then Israel made this vow to the Lord:“ If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities.”

Then Israel made a promise to the Lord. They said,“ Hand these people over to us. If you do, we will set their cities apart to you in a special way to be destroyed.”

And Israel vowed a vow to the Lord and said,“ If you will indeed give this people into my hand, then I will devote their cities to destruction.”

Then the people of Israel made this vow to the Lord:“ If you will hand these people over to us, we will completely destroy all their towns.”

于是雅各许了一个愿说：“如果神与我同在，在我所走的路上看顾我，赐我食物吃，给我衣服穿，

过了四年（按照《马索拉文本》，“四年”作“四十年”；现参照各古译本翻译），押沙龙对王说：“求你准我到希伯仑去，好向耶和华还我所许的愿。因为仆人住在亚兰的基述的时候，曾经许了一个愿说：‘如果耶和华使我再回到耶路撒冷来，我就要在希伯仑事奉他。’”

这城要完全毁灭，城和城中的一切都归耶和华；只有妓女喇合，和所有与她在家中的都可以存活，因为她收藏了我们派去的使者。

“一切永属耶和华的圣物，就是人永献给耶和华的物，无论是人或是牲畜，或是他承受作产业的田地，都不可以变卖，也不可以赎回；一切永献之物都是归耶和华为至圣的。如果有人永献牲畜作永属耶和华的圣物，就不可赎回；必须把它杀死。

神啊！我要偿还我向你所许的愿，我要把感谢祭献给你。因为你救了我的性命脱离死亡；你不是救了我的脚不跌倒，使我在生命的光中，行在神你的面前吗？

那时，约书亚要人民起誓，说：“起来重建这耶利哥城的，那人在耶和华面前是可咒可诅的；他立地基的时候必丧长子；他安城门的时候必失幼子。”

并且许愿，说：“万军之耶和华啊，你若是看顾使女的困苦，记念我，不忘记你的使女，赐给使女一个儿子，我就必把他一生献给耶和华，不剃他的头。”

他怎样向耶和华起誓，向雅各的大能者许愿，说：

我要在耶和华的众民面前，向他还我所许的愿。

你就要用刀剑把那城里的居民杀掉，把那城和城里的一切，以及牲畜，都用刀剑完全毁灭。

如果有人不爱主，他就该受咒诅。主啊，愿你来！
