From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the Lord said to Moses,“ Gather the people together and I will give them water.”

From there the Israelites continued on to Beer. That was the well where the Lord spoke to Moses. He said,“ Gather the people together. I will give them water to drink.”

And from there they continued to Beer; that is the well of which the Lord said to Moses,“ Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.”

Then Jotham ran away to Beer and lived there to escape from Abimelech his half-brother.

I will be standing before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you will strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in plain view of the elders of Israel.

Joyfully you will draw water from the springs of deliverance.

“ Take the staff and assemble the community, you and Aaron your brother, and then speak to the rock before their eyes. It will pour forth its water, and you will bring water out of the rock for them, and so you will give the community and their beasts water to drink.”

And the Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say:“ Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.

They will not be hungry or thirsty; the sun’s oppressive heat will not beat down on them, for one who has compassion on them will guide them; he will lead them to springs of water.

On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, andlet the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says,‘ From within him will flow rivers of living water.’”( Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Jesus answered her,“ If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you,‘ Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life– water as clear as crystal– pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

But whoever drinks some of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again, but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched from thirst. I, the LORD, will respond to their prayers; I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.I will make streams flow down the slopes and produce springs in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and the arid land into springs.

The wild animals of the desert honor me, the jackals and ostriches, because I put water in the desert and streams in the wilderness, to quench the thirst of my chosen people,

He also said to me,“ It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water free of charge from the spring of the water of life.
