“ Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”

永恆主對摩西說：『你為首在人民前頭走過去，帶着以色列幾個長老和你一同去；手裏要拿着你先前擊打河水的手杖而去。看吧，我必站在你前面，在何烈磐石那裏；你要擊打磐石，就有水從磐石裏出來，讓人民喝。』摩西就在以色列長老眼前這樣行了。

野地的走獸必尊重我，野狗和鴕鳥必崇敬我，因為我使曠野有水，使荒野有江河，好給我人民、我所揀選的、喝，

在曠野他使磐石裂開，多多給他們喝，如喝深淵的水。他使河流從磐石上瀉出，叫水如江河下流。

摩西對約書亞說：『你為我們揀選人、出去和亞瑪力人交戰；明天我要站在山岡上，手裏拿着上帝的手杖。』

耶穌回答他們說：『我實在告訴你們，你們若有信心，不疑惑，不但能行無花果樹所遭遇的事，就使對這座山說：「你被拔起來，拋在海裏」，也必成就的。

聖靈和新婦說、『來』。聽見的人也該說、『來』。口渴的可以來；願意的可以白取生命之水。

耶穌回答他們說：『你們對上帝應當有信心，我實在告訴你們，無論誰對這座山說：「你當被拔起來，拋在海裏」，他心裏不疑惑，只信他所說的已在成事，就必給他作成。故此我告訴你們，凡你們所禱告和所求的一切事，只要信你們得着了，就必給你們。

以及眾谿谷的下坡、就是伸展到亞珥居住之地，靠近摩押邊界的。』

在永恆主、還有奇難事麼？到了所定的日期，在婦人懷孕滿期的時候，我必回到你這裏來，撒拉必生個兒子。』

直到現在、你們還沒有奉我的名求甚麼；求，就必得着，使你們的喜樂得以完滿。

他打開了磐石，水就湧出；在乾旱之處水流成河。

永恆主對摩西說：『你手裏那個是甚麼？』他說：『手杖。』

困苦貧窮人尋求着水，也沒有水；他們的舌頭因口渴而乾燥；我永恆主必應他們，我以色列的上帝必不離棄他們。我必在無草木的高處上開出江河來，在峽谷中開闢泉源；我必使曠野變為水塘，使乾旱之地變為出水之源。

你從天上將糧食賜給他們、去給他們充饑，又使水從磐石間流出來、給他們解渴；你又吩咐他們要進來取得這地、就是你曾舉手起誓給他們的。

摩西舉手，用手杖把磐石擊打了兩下，就有許多水流了出來，會眾和他們的牲口都喝了。

摩西、亞倫就照永恆主所吩咐的去行：在法老和法老的臣僕眼前，亞倫舉起手杖，擊打河裏的水，河裏的水就都變為血。

天使指給我看在城內街道當中有一道生命水之河，明亮如水晶從上帝和羔羊的寶座間流出來。

於是人民都吶喊，祭司們也吹了號角。人民一聽見了號角聲，便大聲吶喊，那城牆就當場陷落，人民便上城，各人往前直上，攻取那城。

當羊角聲拉長、你們聽見號角聲的時候，眾民要大聲吶喊，城牆就會當場陷落；眾民都要上去，各人往前直上。』

耶穌回答她說：『你若曉得上帝白白的恩，和對你說「請給我喝」的是誰，你就早已求他，他就早已給你活水了。』婦人對耶穌說：『先生，你沒有打水的器具，井又深，你從哪裏有活水呢？我們的先祖雅各將這口井給了我們；他自己和他子孫跟牲畜都喝這裏頭的水，難道你比他還大麼？』耶穌回答她說：『凡喝這水的都會再渴；惟獨凡喝我所要給的水的，一定永遠不渴；我所要給的水、必在他裏面成為水泉，直湧歸永生。』

摩西就帶着妻子和兩個兒子，讓他們騎着驢，回埃及地去：摩西也帶着上帝的杖在手裏。

這井是首領們所挖的，是民間的領袖用指揮棍用扶杖所開掘的。』以色列人又從曠野到了瑪他拿，

五旬節日到了，眾人都同在一處。驀然間有響聲從天上來、像猛烈的風颳着的響聲，充滿了他們所坐的整個屋子。有舌頭像火舌一樣、向他們顯現出來，分散而停在他們每一個人上頭。於是眾人都充滿了聖靈、說起話來，照聖靈給他們去發表的。

因為他一說話、就有；他一命令、就立成。

他叫磐石變為水塘，叫硬石頭變為水泉。

這樣，你們雖然不好，尚且曉得把好贈品給你們的兒女，何況天上的父、豈不更要將聖靈給求他的人麼？』

這些人同婦人們和耶穌的母親馬利亞、同耶穌的弟兄、都同心合意、恆心專務於禱告。

你舉起你的手杖，向海伸手，使海裂開，好讓以色列人到海中去、像走旱地。

永恆主領了他們走過荒漠之野，他們並不乾渴；他叫水從磐石裏流出來給他們喝；他叫磐石裂開，水就湧出。
