( The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his place.

“ The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed in them, and to be consecrated in them.Seven days shall the son who is priest in his place put them on, when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the holy place.

and strip Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron shall be gathered, and shall die there.”

Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.

“ Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching God’s Kingdom, will see my face no more.Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

“ Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is across from Jericho; and see the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel for a possession.Die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Yahweh may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”Yahweh said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”Moses did as Yahweh commanded him. He took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.

Yes, I will make every effort that you may always be able to remember these things even after my departure.

So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word.

But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.

Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of Yahweh and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.Aaron was one hundred twenty- three years old when he died in Mount Hor.The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.They traveled from Mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.They traveled from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.They traveled from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.They traveled from Oboth, and encamped in Iye Abarim, in the border of Moab.They traveled from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon Gad.They traveled from Dibon Gad, and encamped in Almon Diblathaim.They traveled from Almon Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.They encamped by the Jordan, from Beth Jeshimoth even to Abel Shittim in the plains of Moab.

Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”

Of all my sons( for Yahweh has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of Yahweh’s kingdom over Israel.He said to me,‘ Solomon, your son, shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.I will establish his kingdom forever if he continues to do my commandments and my ordinances, as it is today.’Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, Yahweh’s assembly, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Yahweh your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
