Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar. And Aaron died there on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain,

At the summit, Moses removed the priestly garments from Aaron and put them on Eleazar, Aaron’s son. Then Aaron died there on top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar went back down.

( Now the children of Israel journeyed from the wells of Bene Jaakan to Moserah, where Aaron died, and where he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered as priest in his stead.

“ And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them.That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place.

and strip Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son; for Aaron shall be gathered to his people and die there.”

Now, my son, may the Lord be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the Lord your God, as He has said to you.Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

“ And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

“ Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession;and die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people, just as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people;

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”And the Lord said to Moses:“ Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and inaugurate him in their sight.And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him— all the congregation.”So Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.

Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.

But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Then Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the Lord, and died there in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.Aaron was one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.Now the king of Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.So they departed from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.They departed from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.They departed from Punon and camped at Oboth.They departed from Oboth and camped at Ije Abarim, at the border of Moab.They departed from Ijim and camped at Dibon Gad.They moved from Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.They moved from Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.They departed from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.They camped by the Jordan, from Beth Jesimoth as far as the Abel Acacia Grove in the plains of Moab.

Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

And of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.Now He said to me,‘ It is your son Solomon who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.’Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever.“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

David also commanded all the leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
