我呼籲耶和華、蒙其垂聽、遣使導我出埃及、今在加低斯、爾國之疆隅也、

我呼籲耶和華、耶和華垂聽、遣使導我出埃及、今在迦鐵、爾國之疆隅也。

我儕呼籲主、主垂聽、遣使者導我出伊及、今我在迦叠、爾國之邊界、

but when we cried out to the Lord, he heard our cry and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt.“ Now we are here at Kadesh, a town on the edge of your territory.

這時，在以色列人前面領路的上帝的天使，轉到百姓後面，雲柱也隨著移到後面立住。

我必差遣天使走在你們前面，趕出當地的迦南人、亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人，

「看啊，我要差遣天使走在你前面，在路上保護你，帶領你平安地到達我為你預備的地方。

忽然有耶和華的天使在荊棘裡的火焰中向他顯現。摩西看見荊棘雖然在燃燒，卻沒有被燒毀。摩西想：「我要過去看這個奇異的景象，荊棘為什麼沒有被燒掉呢？」耶和華上帝見他要上前觀看，就從荊棘叢中呼喚他說：「摩西！摩西！」摩西說：「我在這裡。」上帝說：「別再靠近，脫下你腳上的鞋子，因為你所站的地方是聖地。」又說：「我是你祖先的上帝，是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。」摩西害怕看上帝，就把臉蒙起來。耶和華說：「我已經看見我子民在埃及所受的苦難，聽見了他們因監工的壓迫而發出的呼求。我知道他們的痛苦。我下來是要從埃及人手中救他們，帶他們離開那裡，到一個遼闊肥沃的奶蜜之鄉，就是現在迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人居住的地方。現在，以色列人的呼求傳到我耳中，我也看到了埃及人怎樣壓迫他們。

過了多年，埃及王死了。以色列人受盡奴役，就哀歎呼求，聲音傳到上帝那裡。上帝聽見他們的哀聲，顧念從前跟亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約，

以色列人看見法老大軍追了上來，非常害怕，便呼求耶和華。

我已聽見以色列人因受埃及人的奴役而發出的呼求，也想起了我的約。
