「你們不可硬著心，像在米利巴，在曠野中瑪撒的日子一樣；

他們又在米利巴的水邊惹神發怒，以致摩西也因他們的緣故受了虧損；因為他們悖逆了神的靈，摩西的嘴就說了輕率的話。他們沒有照著耶和華所吩咐的，除滅那裡的族群；反而與列國混合，學習他們的行為，服事他們的偶像。這就成為自己的陷阱。他們把自己的兒子和女兒祭獻給鬼魔；他們流無辜人的血，就是自己兒子和女兒的血，把他們祭獻給迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷汙了。那時他們因自己所做的被玷汙，在自己的行為上犯了姦淫。於是耶和華的怒氣向他的子民發作；他厭惡自己的繼業，把他們交在列國的手中，恨他們的人就管轄他們。他們的仇敵壓迫他們，他們就屈服在仇敵手下。他多次解救他們，他們卻圖謀悖逆，在自己的罪孽中墮落。然而，當他聽到他們呼聲的時候，就垂顧他們的危難，為他們的緣故，記念自己的約，照著他豐盛的慈愛回心轉意；又使他們在所有擄走他們的人面前蒙憐憫。耶和華我們的神哪，求你拯救我們，求你從列國中招聚我們，好讓我們稱頌你的聖名，以讚美你為福樂！耶和華以色列的神是當受頌讚的，從永遠到永遠。願全體民眾都說：「阿們！」哈利路亞！

唯有萬軍之耶和華必因公正受尊崇，至聖的神必因公義顯為聖。
