So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

Then Paul said to him,“ God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!”Those who were standing near Paul said,“ How dare you insult God’s high priest!”Paul replied,“ Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written:‘ Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’”

You have been rebellious against the Lord ever since I have known you.

but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these:“ As Your Majesty was lying there, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen.As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.

We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?”The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister,‘ Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
