The man who gathers up the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening. This will be a lasting ordinance both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them.

The man who gathers up the ashes of the young cow must wash his clothes. He too will be‘ unclean’ until evening. This law is for the Israelites. It is also for the outsiders living among them. The law will last for all time to come.

And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening. And this shall be a perpetual statute for the people of Israel, and for the stranger who sojourns among them.

本地人和在你们中间寄居的外族人都要遵守这规矩。”

要由洁净的人在第三天和第七天把水洒在不洁净的人身上。到第七天，接受洁净礼的人要洗衣、沐浴，等到傍晚才能洁净。

以色列人和寄居的外族人都要遵守上面的条例，永世不变。你们在耶和华面前怎样做，外族人也要怎样做。你们和寄居的外族人要遵行一样的条例和规定。”

难道上帝只是犹太人的上帝吗？祂不也是外族人的上帝吗？祂当然也是外族人的上帝。因为上帝只有一位，祂本着信称受割礼的人为义人，也本着信称未受割礼的人为义人。

从此，不再分希腊人、犹太人，受割礼的、未受割礼的，野蛮人、未开化的人，奴隶和自由人，基督就是一切，并且贯穿一切。

之后，祭司要洗衣沐浴，才能回营，但要等到傍晚才能洁净。负责烧牛的人也要洗衣、沐浴，并且要等到傍晚才能洁净。
