But only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain. I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift. Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary is to be put to death.”

And you and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and that is within the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood as a gift, and any outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

But you and your sons, the priests, must personally handle all the priestly rituals associated with the altar and with everything behind the inner curtain. I am giving you the priesthood as your special privilege of service. Any unauthorized person who comes too near the sanctuary will be put to death.”

耶和華對摩西說：「你要吩咐你哥哥亞倫，不可隨時進入聖所的幔子內、到櫃蓋前，免得他死亡，因為我在櫃蓋上的雲中顯現。

在以色列眾支派中，我不是揀選他作我的祭司，上我的祭壇，燒香，在我面前穿以弗得嗎？我不是將以色列人所獻的火祭都賜給你祖宗的家嗎？

約翰回答說：「若不是從天上賜的，人就不能得到甚麼。

要給亞倫和他的兒子束上腰帶，裹上頭巾，他們就憑永遠的定例得祭司的職分。又要授聖職給亞倫和他的兒子。

雖然我比眾聖徒中最小的還小，他還賜我這恩典，讓我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外邦人，

他要從耶和華面前的壇上取盛滿火炭的香爐，再拿一捧搗細的香料，把這些都帶入幔子內。在耶和華面前，他要把香放在火上，使香的煙雲遮着法櫃上的蓋子，免得他死亡。他要取一些公牛的血，用手指彈在櫃蓋的前面，就是東面，又在櫃蓋的前面用手指彈血七次。

沒有人可擅自取得大祭司的尊榮，惟有蒙上帝所選召的才可以，像亞倫一樣。

耶和華對亞倫說：「你在以色列人的境內不可有產業，在他們中間也不可有份。在以色列人中，我是你的份，你的產業。

他們要與你聯合，負責看守會幕和帳幕一切的事；只是外人不可挨近你們。你們要負責看守聖所和祭壇，免得憤怒再臨到以色列人。

第二層幔子後又有一層帳幕，叫至聖所，有金香壇和四周包金的約櫃，櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那根發過芽的杖和兩塊約版；櫃上面有榮耀的基路伯罩着施恩座。有關這一切我現在不能一一細說。這些物件既如此預備齊了，眾祭司就不斷地進第一層帳幕行拜上帝的禮。

給以色列人作紀念，為要叫亞倫子孫之外的人不得近前來，在耶和華面前燒香，免得他和可拉與同他一夥的人一樣，正如耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的。

對可拉和他所有同夥的人說：「到了早晨，耶和華必指示誰是屬他的，誰是成為聖的，就准許誰親近他。他要叫自己所揀選的人親近他。可拉和你所有同夥的人哪，你們要這樣做：要拿着香爐，明天在耶和華面前把火盛在爐中，把香放在上面。耶和華揀選誰，誰就成為聖。利未的子孫哪，你們太過分了！」

但我更大膽寫信給你們，是要在一些事上提醒你們，我因上帝所賜我的恩，使我為外邦人作基督耶穌的僕役，作上帝福音的祭司，使所獻上的外邦人因着聖靈成為聖潔，可蒙悅納。

在帳幕前東邊，向日出的方向，安營的是摩西、亞倫和亞倫的兒子。他們負責看守聖所，是為以色列人看守的。近前來的外人必被處死。

帳幕將往前行的時候，利未人要拆卸；將駐紮的時候，利未人要支搭帳幕。近前來的外人必被處死。
