一起攻击摩西和亚伦，说：“你们太过分了！全体会众都是圣洁的，有耶和华住在他们当中，你们凭什么将自己置于耶和华的会众之上？”

对可拉一伙人说：“到了明天早上，耶和华必显明谁是属于祂的，谁是圣洁的。祂必让祂所拣选的人到祂面前。

但你们是蒙拣选的族群，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国度，是上帝的子民，因此你们可以宣扬上帝的美德。祂曾呼召你们离开黑暗，进入祂奇妙的光明。

主所爱的弟兄姊妹，我们应该时常为你们感谢上帝，因为上帝一开始就拣选了你们，为了使你们借着圣灵得以圣洁，并且相信真理，从而得救。

见到以利亚后，就说：“给以色列带来灾祸的就是你吗？”以利亚回答说：“给以色列带来灾祸的不是我，而是你和你父亲家，因为你们抛弃耶和华的诫命，去随从巴力。

早在创造世界以前，祂已经在基督里拣选了我们，使我们在祂眼中成为圣洁无瑕的人。

耶稣进了圣殿，正在教导人的时候，祭司长和民间的长老来质问祂：“你凭什么权柄做这些事？谁授权给你了？”耶稣说：“我也要问你们一个问题，你们回答了，我就告诉你们我凭什么权柄做这些事。约翰的洗礼是从哪里来的？从天上来的，还是从人来的？”他们便彼此议论说：“如果我们说‘是从天上来的’，祂一定会问我们，‘那你们为什么不信他？’但如果我们说‘是从人来的’，又怕触怒百姓，因为他们相信约翰是个先知。”于是，他们回答耶稣说：“我们不知道。”耶稣说：“我也不告诉你们我凭什么权柄做这些事。”
