David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. He called out to the LORD, and the LORD responded by sending fire from the sky and consuming the burnt sacrifice on the altar.The LORD ordered the messenger to put his sword back into its sheath.

but he holds his priesthood permanently since he lives forever.So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Phinehas took a stand and intervened, and the plague subsided.

After this Jesus found him at the temple and said to him,“ Look, you have become well. Don’t sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you.”

When the angel extended his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the LORD relented from his judgment. He told the angel who was killing the people,“ That’s enough! Stop now!”( Now the LORD’s angel was near the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.)When he saw the angel who was destroying the people, David said to the LORD,“ Look, it is I who have sinned and done this evil thing! As for these sheep– what have they done? Attack me and my family.”

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath.

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.

For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human,who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.
