And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

But this[ man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and[ so] the plague was stayed.

And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father’s house.

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead,[ even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Confess[ your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

For[ there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
