摩西對亞倫說：「拿你的香爐，把祭壇的火盛在裏面，加上香，趕快帶到會眾那裏，為他們贖罪。因為有憤怒從耶和華面前發出，瘟疫已經開始了。」

他們將你的典章教導雅各，將你的律法教導以色列。他們奉上香讓你聞，把全牲的燔祭獻在你壇上。求耶和華賜福給他的財物，悅納他手裏的工作。求你刺透起來攻擊他的人的腰，使那些恨惡他的人不再起來。』

但是我告訴你們：要愛你們的仇敵，為那迫害你們的禱告。

耶和華的旨意要壓傷他，使他受苦。當他的生命作為贖罪祭時，他必看見後裔，他的年日必然長久。耶和華所喜悅的事，必在他手中亨通。因自己的勞苦，他必看見光就心滿意足。因自己的認識，我的義僕使許多人得稱為義，他要擔當他們的罪孽。因此，我要使他與位大的同份，與強盛的均分擄物。因為他傾倒自己的生命，以至於死，也列在罪犯之中。他卻擔當多人的罪，為他們的過犯代求。
