神啊！你必使惡人墮入滅亡的深坑裡；流人血和行詭詐的人必活不到半世；至於我，我必倚靠你。

求你不要讓波濤淹沒我，不要讓深水吞滅我，也不要讓深坑把我封閉。

耶和華啊！求你快快應允我，我的心靈已經衰竭，求你不要向我掩面，免得我像那些下坑的人一樣。

“人子啊！你要為埃及的眾民哀號，要把埃及和強國的女子，與下坑的人一同送到地府那裡。

地下的陰間因你震動，並迎接你的來臨；又因你而喚醒了所有曾在地上作過領袖的陰魂；又使所有曾在列國中作君王的，都離位站起來。

“在那裡有北方的眾首領和所有西頓人；他們都與被殺死的人一同下去，他們雖然英勇，使人驚恐，還是蒙受了羞辱；他們沒有受割禮而與那些被刀所殺的人一起長眠，與那些下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。

然而，你卻被拋下陰間，落到坑中的極處。
