Then Moses said,“ What is about to happen wasn’t my idea. The Lord has sent me to do everything I’m doing. Here is how you will know I’m telling you the truth.

摩西对会众说：“你们很快就知道，我所做的事都是奉耶和华之命而行，并非出于私意。

摩西说：“由此你们可以知道，我作这一切事，是耶和华派我作的，并不是出于我自己的心意。

摩西說：『由以下這個試驗、你們就可以知道：我行這一切事乃是永恆主差遣我的，並不是憑着我自己的心意的。

摩西曰、耶和華遣我行此、非由我意、爾可知焉、

摩西曰、我行此諸事、乃主遣我行、非由我心意而行、有明證爾必知之、

Then Moses said,“ This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:

And Moses said,“ Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been of my own accord.

And Moses said,“ This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things that I have done— for I have not done them on my own.

Then Moses said,“ This is how you will know that the LORD sent me to do all these things and that it was not of my own will:

Then Moses said,“ By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these deeds; for it is not my doing.

And Moses said:“ By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.

And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that Jehovah hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

Then Moses said,“ This is how you will know that the Lord sent me to do all these things and that it was not of my own will:

And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for[ I have] not[ done them] of mine own mind.

Then Moses said,“ This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.

Moses said,“ Hereby you shall know that Yahweh has sent me to do all these works; for they are not from my own mind.

God said,“ I will be with you. I will give you a sign. It will prove that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain.”

I have not come down from heaven to do what I want to do. I have come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do.

“ What I say about myself is more important than what John says about me. I am doing the works the Father gave me to finish. These works are a witness that the Father has sent me.

“ Son of man, turn your attention to the daughters of your people. What they prophesy comes out of their own minds. So prophesy against them.

The Lord who rules over all says to the people of Judah,“ Do not listen to what the prophets are saying to you. They fill you with false hopes. They talk about visions that come from their own minds. What they say does not come from my mouth.

Sometimes a prophet will announce something in the name of the Lord. And it won’t take place or come true. Then that’s a message the Lord hasn’t told him to speak. That prophet has dared to speak on his own authority. So don’t be afraid of what he says.

“ The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple. His hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me to you.

I can do nothing by myself. I judge only as I hear. And my judging is fair. I do not try to please myself. I try to please the one who sent me.

When it was time to offer the evening sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward. He prayed,“ Lord, you are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Today let everyone know that you are God in Israel. Let them know I’m your servant. Let them know I’ve done all these things because you commanded me to.

I know that you always hear me. But I said this for the benefit of the people standing here. I said it so they will believe that you sent me.”

Believe me when I say I am in the Father. Also believe that the Father is in me. Or at least believe what the works I have been doing say about me.

He said,“ Pharaoh will say to you,‘ Do a miracle.’ When he does, speak to Aaron. Tell him,‘ Take your walking stick and throw it down in front of Pharaoh.’ It will turn into a snake.”

So I will raise my powerful hand to strike down your enemies. Their own slaves will rob them of everything. Then you will know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me.

Moses answered,“ What if the elders of Israel won’t believe me? What if they won’t listen to me? Suppose they say,‘ The Lord didn’t appear to you.’ Then what should I do?”The Lord said to him,“ What do you have in your hand?”“ A walking stick,” he said.The Lord said,“ Throw it on the ground.” So Moses threw it on the ground. It turned into a snake. He ran away from it.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Reach your hand out. Take the snake by the tail.” So he reached out and grabbed the snake. It turned back into a walking stick in his hand.The Lord said,“ When they see this sign, they will believe that I appeared to you. I am the Lord, the God of their fathers. I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. And I am the God of Jacob.”Then the Lord said,“ Put your hand inside your coat.” So Moses put his hand inside his coat. When he took it out, the skin had become as white as snow. His hand was covered with a skin disease.“ Now put it back into your coat,” the Lord said. So Moses put his hand back into his coat. When he took it out, the skin was healthy again. His hand was like the rest of his skin.Then the Lord said,“ Suppose they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign. Then maybe they will believe the second one.But suppose they do not believe either sign. Suppose they will not listen to you. Then get some water from the Nile River. Pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will turn into blood on the ground.”

I said,‘ Balak could give me all the silver and gold in his palace. Even if I wanted to, I still couldn’t do anything at all that goes beyond what the Lord commands. I must say only what the Lord tells me to say.’
