“ Quick!” he told the people.“ Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and don’t touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins.”

He warned the assembly,“ Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”

Moses warned the community. He said,“ Move away from the tents of these evil men! Don’t touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, the Lord will sweep you away because of all their sins.”

And he spoke to the congregation, saying,“ Depart, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be swept away with all their sins.”

He warned the community,“ Get away now from the tents of these wicked men. Don’t touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”

Get out! Get out and leave your captivity, where everything you touch is unclean. Get out of there and purify yourselves, you who carry home the sacred objects of the Lord.

Then I heard another voice calling from heaven,“ Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her.

Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.

If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.

“ Get away from all these people so that I may instantly destroy them!”But Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground.“ O God,” they pleaded,“ you are the God who gives breath to all creatures. Must you be angry with all the people when only one man sins?”And the Lord said to Moses,“ Then tell all the people to get away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.”

So they shook the dust from their feet as a sign of rejection and went to the town of Iconium.

Meanwhile, the angels questioned Lot.“ Do you have any other relatives here in the city?” they asked.“ Get them out of this place— your sons in law, sons, daughters, or anyone else.For we are about to destroy this city completely. The outcry against this place is so great it has reached the Lord, and he has sent us to destroy it.”So Lot rushed out to tell his daughters’ fiancés,“ Quick, get out of the city! The Lord is about to destroy it.” But the young men thought he was only joking.At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent.“ Hurry,” they said to Lot.“ Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out right now, or you will be swept away in the destruction of the city!”

Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a large nation, just as he swore to your ancestors.

But Peter replied,“ May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God’s gift can be bought!

Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
