我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們出了那地，到美好、寬闊、流奶與蜜之地，就是到迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。

亞捫人拿轄說：「你們若由我剜出你們各人的右眼，以此凌辱以色列眾人，我就與你們立約。」

凡在以色列支派中得了產業的女子必作同宗支派人的妻，好叫以色列人各自承受他祖宗的產業。這樣，他們的產業就不從這支派歸到那支派，因為以色列支派的人要各守各的產業。」耶和華怎樣吩咐摩西，西羅非哈的眾女兒就怎樣行。

只是第七年要叫地歇息，不耕不種，使你民中的窮人有吃的；他們所剩下的，野獸可以吃。你的葡萄園和橄欖園也要照樣辦理。

「人若在田間或在葡萄園裏放牲畜，任憑牲畜上別人的田裏去吃，就必拿自己田間上好的和葡萄園上好的賠還。

非利士人將他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘索他；他就在監裏推磨。
