You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.

You will have the tassels to look at. They will remind you to obey all the Lord’ s commands. Then you will be faithful to him. You will not chase after what your own hearts and eyes wish for.

And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after.

When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.

我的脚步若偏离正路，我的心若随着我的眼目，若有玷污粘在我手上；

少年人哪，你在幼年时当快乐。在幼年的日子，使你的心欢畅，行你心所愿行的，看你眼所爱看的；却要知道，为这一切的事，神必审问你。

“你们要将我这话存在心内，留在意中，系在手上为记号，戴在额上为经文；也要教训你们的儿女，无论坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要谈论；又要写在房屋的门框上，并城门上，使你们和你们子孙的日子在耶和华向你们列祖起誓、应许给他们的地上得以增多，如天覆地的日子那样多。

只怕你与那地的居民立约，百姓随从他们的神，就行邪淫，祭祀他们的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，又为你的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿随从她们的神，就行邪淫，使你的儿子也随从她们的神行邪淫。

只随从自己顽梗的心行事，照他们列祖所教训的随从众巴力。”

这要在你手上作记号，在你额上作纪念，使耶和华的律法常在你口中，因为耶和华曾用大能的手将你从埃及领出来。

你们若不听从耶和华你们神的诫命，偏离我今日所吩咐你们的道，去侍奉你们素来所不认识的别神，就必受祸。及至耶和华你的神领你进入要去得为业的那地，你就要将祝福的话陈明在基利心山上，将咒诅的话陈明在以巴路山上。这二山岂不是在约旦河那边，日落之处，在住亚拉巴的迦南人之地与吉甲相对，靠近摩利橡树吗？你们要过约旦河，进去得耶和华你们神所赐你们为业之地，在那地居住。你们要谨守遵行我今日在你们面前所陈明的一切律例典章。”

我今日所吩咐你的话都要记在心上，也要殷勤教训你的儿女。无论你坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要谈论。也要系在手上为记号，戴在额上为经文；又要写在你房屋的门框上，并你的城门上。”

你们要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华你们神与你们所立的约，为自己雕刻偶像，就是耶和华你神所禁止你做的偶像；

你们这些淫乱的人哪，岂不知与世俗为友就是与神为敌吗？所以凡想要与世俗为友的，就是与神为敌了。

那时你要谨慎，免得你忘记将你从埃及地、为奴之家领出来的耶和华。

听见这咒诅的话，心里仍是自夸说：‘我虽然行事心里顽梗，连累众人，却还是平安。’

“你们要与你们的母亲大大争辩；因为她不是我的妻子，我也不是她的丈夫。叫她除掉脸上的淫像和胸间的淫态，
