“ But those who brazenly violate the Lord’s will, whether native born Israelites or foreigners, have blasphemed the Lord, and they must be cut off from the community.

但那以高傲手段行事的人、無論是本地人、是寄居的、他是褻瀆永恆主的，那人總須從他的族人中被剪除。

如其故犯、乃褻瀆耶和華、不論宗族賓旅、必絕於民中、

若其犯罪、毫無畏葸、則欺我孰甚、不論宗族賓旅必殄絕於民中。

無論為土著、為外邦客旅、若敢故犯、即褻瀆主、其人必滅絕於民中、

“‘ But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native- born or foreigner, blasphemes the Lord and must be cut off from the people of Israel.

“‘ But suppose someone sins on purpose. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider. They speak evil things against the Lord. They must be separated from the community of Israel.

But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

“ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the LORD. That person is to be cut off from his people.

But the person who does wrong defiantly, whether he is a native or a stranger, that one is blaspheming the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

‘ But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the Lord, and he shall be cut off from among his people.

But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home- born or a sojourner, the same blasphemeth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

“ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or foreign resident, blasphemes the Lord. That person is to be cut off from his people.

But the soul that doeth[ ought] presumptuously,[ whether he be] born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

“‘ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native-born or a resident foreigner, insults the LORD. That person must be cut off from among his people.

“‘ But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native- born or a foreigner, blasphemes Yahweh. That soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.

“ This is what I told you, but you would not listen. Instead, you again rebelled against the Lord’s command and arrogantly went into the hill country to fight.

Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die. In this way you will purge the evil from Israel.Then everyone else will hear about it and be afraid to act so arrogantly.

“ Those who hear the warnings of this curse should not congratulate themselves, thinking,‘ I am safe, even though I am following the desires of my own stubborn heart.’ This would lead to utter ruin!The Lord will never pardon such people. Instead his anger and jealousy will burn against them. All the curses written in this book will come down on them, and the Lord will erase their names from under heaven.

Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.

“ Whom have you been defying and ridiculing? Against whom did you raise your voice? At whom did you look with such haughty eyes? It was the Holy One of Israel!By your messengers you have defied the Lord. You have said,‘ With my many chariots I have conquered the highest mountains— yes, the remotest peaks of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars and its finest cypress trees. I have reached its farthest heights and explored its deepest forests.

He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

However, if someone deliberately kills another person, then the slayer must be dragged even from my altar and be put to death.

Your enemies have mocked me, O Lord; they mock your anointed king wherever he goes.

See how these enemies insult you, Lord. A foolish nation has dishonored your name.

“ But those who neglect to celebrate the Passover at the regular time, even though they are ceremonially clean and not away on a trip, will be cut off from the community of Israel. If they fail to present the Lord’s offering at the proper time, they will suffer the consequences of their guilt.

Then they got up early the next morning and went to the top of the range of hills.“ Let’s go,” they said.“ We realize that we have sinned, but now we are ready to enter the land the Lord has promised us.”But Moses said,“ Why are you now disobeying the Lord’s orders to return to the wilderness? It won’t work.Do not go up into the land now. You will only be crushed by your enemies because the Lord is not with you.When you face the Amalekites and Canaanites in battle, you will be slaughtered. The Lord will abandon you because you have abandoned the Lord.”But the people defiantly pushed ahead toward the hill country, even though neither Moses nor the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant left the camp.

Arise, O God, and defend your cause. Remember how these fools insult you all day long.

O Lord, pay back our neighbors seven times for the scorn they have hurled at you.

Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.

Any male who fails to be circumcised will be cut off from the covenant family for breaking the covenant.”

“ I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community.

Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

“ If a man commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, both the man and the woman who have committed adultery must be put to death.

I myself will turn against them and cut them off from the community, because they have defiled my sanctuary and brought shame on my holy name by offering their children to Molech.
