Do not go up, because the Lord is not with you. You will be defeated by your enemies,

So don’t go up. The Lord isn’t with you. Your enemies will win the battle over you.

SelahYet You have rejected us and brought us to dishonor, And do not go out with our armies.You cause us to turn back from the enemy; And those who hate us have taken spoils for themselves.You turn us over to be eaten like sheep, And have scattered us among the nations.

Therefore the sons of Israel cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become designated for destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you eliminate from your midst the things designated for destruction.

O Lord, what can I say since Israel has turned their back before their enemies?
