他使权贵受羞辱，使他们在荒废无路的地方飘流。

以色列啊！不要欢喜；不要像外族人一样快乐，因为你行了邪淫，离开你的神，在各打谷场上喜爱卖淫的赏赐。

他们有些人在旷野、在荒漠飘流，寻不见路往可居住的城巿。

出埃及以后第四十年十一月一日，摩西照着耶和华吩咐他一切关于以色列人的话，都告诉了他们。

耶和华说：“人若是休妻，妻子离开了他，又嫁了别人，前夫怎能与她复合呢？如果复合，那地不是大大玷污了吗？你曾与许多情人行淫，还想归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。“你向光秃的高冈举目看看，哪里没有你的淫迹？你坐在路边等候情人，像阿拉伯人在旷野埋伏一样。你以淫乱和邪恶，把这地玷污了。

然而必有义人判她们受淫妇和流人血的妇人所受的刑罚，因为她们是淫妇，她们手中染血。“因为主耶和华这样说：我必使一大群人上来攻击她们，使她们惊慌，被人抢掠。这些人必用石头打她们，用刀剑砍她们，又杀戮她们的儿女，放火烧毁她们的房屋。这样，我必使淫荡从这地止息，好叫所有的妇人都受到警戒，不敢照着你们的淫荡而行。人要把你们行淫的报应归在你们身上；你们要担当你们拜偶像的罪；你们就知道我是主耶和华。”

现在你看，自从耶和华对摩西说了这话以后，耶和华照着所应许的，使我活了这四十五年，就是以色列人在旷野行走的时期；现在你看，我今日已经是八十五岁了。

这样，男人可以免罪，妇人就要担当自己的罪孽。”

以色列人从埃及地出来以后四十年，五月一日，亚伦祭司照着耶和华的吩咐，上了何珥山，就死在那里。
