And all the Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had perished in this wilderness!

All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them,“ If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!

The Israelites spoke against Moses and Aaron. The whole community said to them,“ We wish we had died in Egypt or even in this desert.

And all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness!

Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron.“ If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained.

All the Israelites complained about Moses and Aaron, and the whole community told them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the entire congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!

All the Israelites complained about Moses and Aaron, and the whole community told them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!

So the people murmured against Moses, saying,“ What can we drink?”

But on the next day the whole community of Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying,“ You have killed the LORD’s people!”

Do everything without grumbling or arguing,so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world

These people are grumblers and fault- finders who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.

And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel.

But the people were very thirsty there for water, and they murmured against Moses and said,“ Why in the world did you bring us up out of Egypt– to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?”

So now, LORD, kill me instead, because I would rather die than live!”

The entire company of Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron in the desert.The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this desert to kill this whole assembly with hunger!”

When the sun began to shine, God sent a hot east wind. So the sun beat down on Jonah’s head, and he grew faint. So he despaired of life, and said,“ I would rather die than live!”

But if you are going to deal with me like this, then kill me immediately. If I have found favor in your sight then do not let me see my trouble.”

When the people complained, it displeased the LORD. When the LORD heard it, his anger burned, and so the fire of the LORD burned among them and consumed some of the outer parts of the camp.

“ How long must I bear with this evil congregation that murmurs against me? I have heard the complaints of the Israelites that they murmured against me.Say to them,‘ As I live, says the LORD, I will surely do to you just what you have spoken in my hearing.Your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness– all those of you who were numbered, according to your full number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me.

They rejected the fruitful land; they did not believe his promise.

You complained among yourselves privately and said,“ Because the LORD hates us he brought us from Egypt to deliver us over to the Amorites so they could destroy us!

so that I would prefer strangling, and death more than life.I loathe it; I do not want to live forever; leave me alone, for my days are a vapor!

“ Why did I not die at birth, and why did I not expire as I came out of the womb?

He remembered his covenant with them, and relented because of his great loyal love.

while he went a day’s journey into the desert. He went and sat down under a shrub and asked the LORD to take his life:“ I’ve had enough! Now, O LORD, take my life. After all, I’m no better than my ancestors.”
