And they will tell the inhabitants of this land about it. They have already heard that you, Lord, are with these people and that you, Lord, have been seen face to face, that your cloud stays over them, and that you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

And the Egyptians will tell the people who live in Canaan about it. Lord, they have already heard a lot about you. They’ve heard that you are with these people. They’ve heard that you have been seen face to face. They’ve been told that your cloud stays over them. They’ve heard that you go in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day. They’ve been told that you go in front of them in a pillar of fire at night.

and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, O Lord, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

Now if you destroy them, the Egyptians will send a report to the inhabitants of this land, who have already heard that you live among your people. They know, Lord, that you have appeared to your people face to face and that your pillar of cloud hovers over them. They know that you go before them in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, LORD, are among these people, how you, LORD, are seen face to face, how your cloud stands over them, and how you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

各邦各族听见这些事就发抖，非利士人也痛苦不堪，

在会幕内，耶和华跟摩西面对面说话，好像两个朋友谈话一样。然后，摩西返回营中，但他的年轻助手、嫩的儿子约书亚仍然留在会幕。

耶和华在山上的烈火中面对面跟你们说话。

在约旦河西岸一带的亚摩利众王和沿海一带的迦南众王，听说耶和华为了让以色列人过河而使约旦河成为干地，都吓得胆战心惊，勇气尽失。

你还是对他们大施怜悯，没有在旷野离弃他们。白天，云柱没有离开他们，仍然引导他们前行；夜间，火柱仍然照亮他们当走的路。

祂白天以云柱带领他们，晚上用火柱引导他们。

耶和华走在他们前面，白天用云柱为他们指示道路，晚上用火柱照亮他们，这样他们可以日夜赶路。白天的云柱和晚上的火柱从不离开他们。

雅各称那地方为毗努伊勒，因为他说：“我当面见过上帝，竟能活命。”

从来没有人见过上帝，只有父怀中的独一上帝把祂显明出来。

白天，你用云柱带领他们；夜间，你用火柱照亮他们当走的路。

我跟他面对面说话，清清楚楚，不用谜语，他看得见我的形象。你们怎敢批评我的仆人摩西？”

他们拔营前行的时候，白天总有耶和华的云彩在他们上面。

一路上，白天有耶和华的云彩停留在圣幕上面，夜间云中有火光为以色列百姓照明。

“我知道耶和华已经把这地方赐给你们，我们十分害怕。这里所有的居民都吓得胆战心惊。因为你们离开埃及过红海的时候，耶和华怎样使红海在你们面前成为干地，你们怎样对付约旦河东的两个亚摩利王西宏和噩，怎样把他们彻底消灭，我们都听说了。

此后，以色列再也没有出现像摩西那样的先知，他曾面见耶和华，

安放约柜的圣幕支起来那天，云彩遮盖了它。当晚，云彩整夜像火焰一般。之后，每天如此：白天云彩遮盖圣幕，晚上云彩像火。云彩什么时候从圣幕上升起，以色列人就启行；云彩在哪里停下来，以色列人就在哪里安营。他们无论启行还是安营，都遵照耶和华的吩咐。云彩在圣幕上停留多久，他们就安营多久。有时云彩在圣幕上停留多日，他们就遵照耶和华的吩咐安营多日。有时云彩在圣幕上只停留几天，他们就遵照耶和华的吩咐只安营几天。随后再照耶和华的吩咐启行。有时云彩整夜停留在圣幕上，到早晨才升起，他们就早晨才启行。不管白天黑夜，云彩一升起，他们就启行。

祂铺展云彩为他们遮荫，晚上用火给他们照明。

耶稣说：“腓力，我和你们相处了这么久，你还不认识我吗？人看见了我，就看见了父，你怎么说‘让我们看看父’呢？

如今我们好像对着镜子观看影像，模糊不清，但将来会看得真真切切。现在我所知道的有限，但将来会完全知道，如同主知道我一样。
