But Moses replied to the Lord,“ The Egyptians will hear about it, for by Your strength You brought up this people from them.

摩西對耶和華說：“這樣埃及人必聽見這事，因為你曾用大能，把這民從他們中間領上來；

摩西對永恆主說：『這樣、埃及人一定會聽見，一定會對這地的居民說；因為你曾施展你的大能力將這人民從他們中間領上來；

摩西對耶和華曰、如是、埃及人必聞其事、蓋爾昔施大能、率斯民出其中、

摩西告耶和華曰、昔爾施大力、率以色列民、出於埃及、斯土之民、知爾居處以色列族、為民目擊、以雲蔽之、晝導以雲、夜燭以大其狀如柱、今欲盡滅斯眾、與戮匹夫無異、則埃及億兆、風聞其事、普告於斯土、斯土之民、嘗聞爾名者、必曰、

摩西對主曰、若如此、伊及人必聞之、因主曾施大力、導斯民出伊及、

Moses said to the Lord,“ Then the Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.

Moses said to the Lord,“ Then the Egyptians will hear about it. You used your power to bring these people up from among them.

But Moses said to the Lord,“ Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for you brought up this people in your might from among them,

But Moses objected.“ What will the Egyptians think when they hear about it?” he asked the Lord.“ They know full well the power you displayed in rescuing your people from Egypt.

But Moses replied to the LORD,“ The Egyptians will hear about it, for by your strength you brought up this people from them.

But Moses said to the Lord,“ Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought this people up from their midst,

And Moses said to the Lord:“ Then the Egyptians will hear it, for by Your might You brought these people up from among them,

And Moses said unto Jehovah, Then the Egyptians will hear it; for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;

And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear[ it],( for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)

Moses said to the LORD,“ When the Egyptians hear it– for you brought up this people by your power from among them–

Moses said to Yahweh,“ Then the Egyptians will hear it; for you brought up this people in your might from among them.

So He said He would have destroyed them— if Moses His chosen one had not stood before Him in the breach to turn His wrath away from destroying them.

But I acted because of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations they were living among, in whose sight I had made Myself known to Israel by bringing them out of Egypt.

if I had not feared insult from the enemy, or feared that these foes might misunderstand and say:‘ Our own hand has prevailed; it wasn’t the Lord who did all this.’”

But I acted because of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

But Moses interceded with the Lord his God:“ Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a strong hand?Why should the Egyptians say,‘ He brought them out with an evil intent to kill them in the mountains and wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from Your great anger and relent concerning this disaster planned for Your people.Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel— You swore to them by Your very self and declared,‘ I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’”So the Lord relented concerning the disaster He said He would bring on His people.

I prayed to the Lord: Lord God, do not annihilate Your people, Your inheritance, whom You redeemed through Your greatness and brought out of Egypt with a strong hand.Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Disregard this people’s stubbornness, and their wickedness and sin.Otherwise, those in the land you brought us from will say,‘ Because the Lord wasn’t able to bring them into the land He had promised them, and because He hated them, He brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’

What can I say, Lord, now that Israel has turned its back and run from its enemies?When the Canaanites and all who live in the land hear about this, they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. Then what will You do about Your great name?”
