摩西遣十二人、窺察迦南曰、自此而往、涉其南境、登彼山巖、

亞伯蘭遂遷幕至希伯崙、近慢哩之橡而居、築墻祭耶和華。

約書亞為耶孚尼子迦勒祝嘏、以希伯崙賜之為業。緣基尼洗人、耶孚尼子迦勒竭忠、遵從以色列族上帝耶和華、故得希伯崙為業、至今尚存。昔希伯崙名基列亞巴、在亞納族中、亞巴尊大。嗣後息戰。

給祭司亞倫子孫者、希伯崙與其郊、為誤殺人者、逋逃之藪、又給立拿與其郊、
