耶和华吩咐嫩的儿子约书亚说：“你当刚强壮胆，因为你必领以色列人进入我所起誓应许他们的地，我必与你同在。”

我要在肥美的草场牧养它们。它们的圈必在以色列高处的山上，它们必躺卧在佳美的圈内，在以色列山肥美的草场上吃草。

他们得了坚固的城镇、肥沃的土地，取了装满各样美物的房屋、挖成的水井、葡萄园、橄榄园，以及许多果树。他们就吃了，而且饱足，身体肥胖，因你的大恩活得快乐。

他们在本国领受你大恩的时候，在你所赐给他们这广大肥沃之地不事奉你，也不转离他们的恶行。

耶利哥王派人到喇合那里，说：“你要交出那来到你这里、进了你家的人，因为他们来是要窥探全地。”

二人离开，到山上去，在那里停留三天，直等到追赶的人回去。追赶的人一路寻找，却找不着。二人回来，下了山，过了河，来到嫩的儿子约书亚那里，向他报告他们所遭遇的一切事。

你当刚强壮胆，因为你必使这百姓承受那地为业，就是我向他们列祖起誓要给他们的地。

我有祸了！我好像夏日收割后的果子，又如收成之后剩余的葡萄，没有一挂可吃的，也没有我心所渴想初熟的无花果。

他们到了以实各谷，从那里砍下葡萄树枝，上面有一挂葡萄，两个人用杠抬着，又带了一些石榴和无花果。以色列人从那里砍下一挂葡萄，所以那地方就叫以实各谷。

我岂没有吩咐你吗？你当刚强壮胆，不要惧怕，也不要惊惶，因为你无论往哪里去，耶和华你的神必与你同在。”

他们的手带着那地的一些果子，下到我们这里，回报我们说：‘耶和华—我们的神所赐给我们的是美地。’

所以，我们可以勇敢地说：“主是我的帮助，我必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？”

你们当刚强壮胆，不要害怕，也不要畏惧他们，因为耶和华—你的神必与你同去；他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。”摩西召了约书亚来，在以色列众人眼前对他说：“你当刚强壮胆！因为你要和这百姓一同进入耶和华向他们列祖起誓要给他们的地，你也要使他们承受那地为业。耶和华必在你前面行，他必亲自与你同在，必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。你不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。”

我儿啊，现今愿耶和华与你同在，使你亨通，建造耶和华—你神的殿，正如他指着你所说的。

迦勒在摩西面前安抚百姓，说：“我们立刻上去得那地吧！我们必能征服它。”但那些和他同去的人却说：“我们不能上去攻打那些百姓，因为他们比我们强大。”
