耶和華曰、若彼父唾於其面、豈不蒙羞七日乎、必禁之營外、歷至七日、然後可導之入、

主諭摩西曰、若其父唾於其面、必蒙羞歷七日、當禁之於營外、至於七日、然後入營、

The Lord replied to Moses,“ If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.”

The Lord answered Moses. He said,“ Suppose her father had spit in her face. Then she would have been put to shame for seven days. So keep her outside the camp for seven days. After that, you can bring her back.”

But the Lord said to Moses,“ If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut outside the camp seven days, and after that she may be brought in again.”

But the Lord said to Moses,“ If her father had done nothing more than spit in her face, wouldn’t she be defiled for seven days? So keep her outside the camp for seven days, and after that she may be accepted back.”

The LORD answered Moses,“ If her father had merely spit in her face, wouldn’t she remain in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”

But the Lord said to Moses,“ If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be put to shame for seven days? Have her shut outside the camp for seven days, and afterward she may be received again.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.”

And Jehovah said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut up without the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.

his brother’s widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, take off one of his sandals, spit in his face and say,“ This is what is done to the man who will not build up his brother’s family line.” (niv)

They detest me and keep their distance; they do not hesitate to spit in my face. (niv)

“ Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease or a discharge of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body.Send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.” (niv)

I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting. (niv)

“ The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes, shave off all their hair and bathe with water; then they will be ceremonially clean. After this they may come into the camp, but they must stay outside their tent for seven days. (niv)

Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! (niv)

When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the Lord had afflicted him.King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in a separate house— leprous, and banned from the temple of the Lord. Jotham his son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land. (niv)

Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him (niv)

“ Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out,‘ Unclean! Unclean!’As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp. (niv)

“ God has made me a byword to everyone, a man in whose face people spit. (niv)
