The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said,“ If only we had meat to eat!

Some people with them began to wish for other food. Again the Israelites began to cry out. They said,“ We wish we had meat to eat.

Now the rabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also wept again and said,“ Oh that we had meat to eat!

The riffraff among them had a strong craving for other food. The Israelites wept again and said,“ Who will feed us meat?

Now the rabble who were among them had greedy cravings; and the sons of Israel also wept again and said,“ Who will give us meat to eat?

Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said:“ Who will give us meat to eat?

And the mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

Contemptible people among them had a strong craving for other food. The Israelites cried again and said,“ Who will feed us meat?

And the mixt multitude that[ was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

Now the mixed multitude who were among them craved more desirable foods, and so the Israelites wept again and said,“ If only we had meat to eat!

These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did,

A rabble of non Israelites went with them, along with great flocks and herds of livestock.

In the wilderness their desires ran wild, testing God’s patience in that dry wasteland.

When this passage of the Law was read, all those of foreign descent were immediately excluded from the assembly.

They stubbornly tested God in their hearts, demanding the foods they craved.They even spoke against God himself, saying,“ God can’t give us food in the wilderness.Yes, he can strike a rock so water gushes out, but he can’t give his people bread and meat.”

One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father came out of his tent and got into a fight with one of the Israelite men.During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the Name of the Lord with a curse. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan.

Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for“ bad company corrupts good character.”
