于是扫罗派人去捉大卫。派去的人看见一群先知正在受感说话，撒母耳站着带领他们。那时，神的灵也临到扫罗的使者身上，他们都受感说话。有人把这事告诉了扫罗，他就再派别的人去，这些人也受感说话。扫罗第三次派人去，他们也受感说话。后来，扫罗也亲自到拉玛去，到了西沽的大井，就问人，说：“撒母耳和大卫在哪里？”有一个人回答：“在拉玛的拿约。”扫罗就从那里往拉玛的拿约去。神的灵也临到他身上，他一面走，一面受感说话，直到他到了拉玛的拿约。他脱掉了自己的衣服，也在撒母耳面前受感说话。那一日，他整天整夜赤着身子躺着，因此有一句俗语说：“扫罗也列在先知中吗？”

扫罗到了那山，有一班先知迎面而来。神的灵大大感动他，他就在他们中间受感说话。

因为预言不是出于人意的，而是人受圣灵的感动，说出从神而来的话。

各样美好的赏赐，各样完备的恩赐，都是从上面、从众光之父降下来的，他本身并没有改变，也没有转动的影子。

那些耶利哥的先知门徒在远处看见，就说：“以利亚的灵在以利沙身上了。”他们就来迎接他，俯伏在地拜他。

先知的灵是受先知控制的，

他从云柱中对他们说话；他们谨守耶和华赐给他们的法度和律例。

“以后，我要把我的灵浇灌所有的人。你们的儿女要说预言，你们的老年人要作异梦，你们的少年人要见异象。在那些日子，我也要把我的灵浇灌仆人和婢女。

他有四个女儿，都是童女，是会说预言的。我们住了几天之后，有一位先知，名叫亚迦布，从犹太下来。他来见我们，把保罗的腰带拿过来，绑住自己的手脚，说：“圣灵说，犹太人在耶路撒冷要这样捆绑这腰带的主人，把他交在外族人的手里。”

因为以色列人所有的旅程中，日间有耶和华的云彩在帐幕上，夜间云中有火，显在以色列全家的眼前。

男人祷告或讲道的时候，如果蒙着头，就是羞辱自己的头。女人祷告或讲道的时候，如果不蒙着头，就是羞辱自己的头，因为这就好像剃了头发一样。

‘神说：在末后的日子，我要把我的灵浇灌所有的人，你们的儿女要说预言，你们的青年人要见异象，你们的老年人要作异梦。在那些日子，我也要把我的灵浇灌我的仆人和使女，他们就要说预言。

耶利米吩咐巴录说：“我被阻止，不能进耶和华的殿里去。所以你要进去，趁禁食的日子，在耶和华的殿里，向众人宣读书卷上的话，就是你从我口中所录下耶和华的话。你要向从犹大各城来的人宣读。

然后，你要到神的山去，那里有非利士人的驻军。你进城的时候，会遇见一班先知从邱坛上下来。在他们前面有鼓瑟的、打鼓的、吹笛的、弹琴的。他们都受感说话。耶和华的灵必大大感动你，你就要与他们一同受感说话，变成另一个人。

你们要追求爱，也要热切地渴慕属灵的恩赐，特别是先知讲道的恩赐。原来那说方言的不是对人说，而是对神说，因为没有人能听得懂；他是在灵里讲奥秘的事。但那讲道的是对人讲说，使他们得着造就、安慰和劝勉。

耶和华在云彩中降下来，与摩西一同站在那里，并且宣告耶和华的名字。

其中有一个名叫亚迦布的站起来，藉着圣灵指出天下将要有大饥荒；这事在革老丢时期果然发生了。

他说这话的时候，有一片云彩笼罩他们，他们入了云彩，门徒就害怕起来。有声音从云彩里出来，说：“这是我的儿子，我所拣选的（“这是我的儿子，我所拣选的”有些抄本作“这是我的爱子”），你们要听从他！”
