Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke with him, and he took some of the power of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied— but did not do so again.

就派人去捉拿他。掃羅的人看到一群先知在說預言，撒母耳在當中帶領他們。上帝的靈也臨到掃羅的人，他們也說起預言來。掃羅聽說後又派人去，派去的人也說起預言來。掃羅第三次派人去，派去的人同樣說起預言來。最後掃羅親自前往拉瑪，走到西沽的大井，問撒母耳和大衛在哪裡，有人說在拉瑪的拿約。掃羅便去拉瑪的拿約。上帝的靈臨到掃羅，他就一邊走一邊說起預言來，一直到拉瑪的拿約。他脫下自己的衣服，在撒母耳面前說起預言來。他赤身躺了一天一夜。因此有句俗語說：「掃羅也在先知當中嗎？」

掃羅和他的僕人來到上帝的山，遇見了一群先知。上帝的靈降在掃羅身上，他就和他們一起說起預言來。

因為預言絕非出於人的意思，都是人受了聖靈的感動，講出上帝的信息。

一切良善的施予和完美的恩賜都是從天上，從眾光之父那裡來的。祂不像轉動的影子變幻無常。

耶利哥的先知們從遠處看見他，就說：「以利亞的靈降在以利沙身上了。」他們就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

先知的靈受先知控制，

祂在雲柱中向他們說話，他們遵守祂賜下的法度和律例。

「以後，我要將我的靈澆灌所有的人。你們的兒女要說預言，老人要做異夢，青年要見異象。在那些日子，我要將我的靈澆灌我的僕人和婢女。

腓利有四個未出嫁的女兒，都能說預言。過了幾天，一個名叫亞迦布的先知從猶太下來。他到了我們這裡，拿保羅的腰帶綁住自己的手腳，說：「聖靈說，『耶路撒冷的猶太人也要這樣捆綁這腰帶的主人，把他交給外族人。』」

一路上，白天有耶和華的雲彩停留在聖幕上面，夜間雲中有火光為以色列百姓照明。

男人在禱告和講道時，若蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭。但婦女在禱告和講道時，若不蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭，因為她就像剃光了頭髮一樣。

『上帝說，在末後的日子，我要將我的靈澆灌所有的人，你們的兒女要說預言，青年要見異象，老人要做異夢。那時，我要將我的靈澆灌我的奴僕和婢女，他們都要說預言。

耶利米對他說：「我被囚禁，不能進入耶和華的殿，所以你要在禁食的日子，在耶和華的殿中向猶大各城來的人宣讀卷軸上耶和華的話。

此後，你會去上帝的山，那裡有非利士人的駐軍。你一進城，就會遇見一群先知從邱壇下來，前面有人鼓瑟、敲鼓、吹笛、彈琴，先知們會說預言。耶和華的靈會降在你身上，你就會跟他們一起說預言，那時，你會變成另一個人。

你們要追求愛，也要切慕屬靈的恩賜，尤其是作先知講道的恩賜。人說方言，是對上帝說的，並非對人說的，因為沒有人聽得懂，他是在心靈裡述說各樣的奧祕。但先知講道是對人講的，為了要造就、鼓勵、安慰人。

耶和華在雲中降臨和摩西一同站在那裡，宣告祂的名——耶和華。

其中一位名叫亞迦布，他得到聖靈的啟示，站起來預言天下將有嚴重的饑荒。後來，這事果然在克勞狄執政期間發生了。

他的話還沒說完，有一朵雲彩飄來，籠罩他們，他們進入雲彩中，都很害怕。雲彩中有聲音說：「這是我的兒子，是我揀選的，你們要聽從祂！」
