And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to- morrow, and ye shall eat flesh; for ye have wept in the ears of Jehovah, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore Jehovah will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

又要对百姓说：‘你们应当自洁，预备明天吃肉，因为你们哭号说：谁给我们肉吃！我们在埃及很好。这声音达到了耶和华的耳中，所以他必给你们肉吃。

爾語民曰、自潔為聖、以備明日食肉、蓋耶和華聞爾哭聲云、誰以肉食我、昔在埃及、我儕善矣、故耶和華將賜爾以肉、爾得食之、

告民潔己、明日可食肉、蓋我聞爾哭云、昔在埃及、我儕猶不為苦、今誰予我肉食乎。是故我將賜爾食肉。

亦告民曰、爾當潔己、以待明日、必得肉食、蓋爾號哭云、誰予我肉食、昔我儕在伊及為佳、此言主已聞矣、必賜爾肉食、

“ Tell the people:‘ Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, when you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you wailed,“ If only we had meat to eat! We were better off in Egypt!” Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat it.

“ Tell the people,‘ Set yourselves apart for tomorrow. At that time you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you cried out. You said,“ We wish we had meat to eat. We were better off in Egypt.” Now the Lord will give you meat. And you will eat it.

And say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was better for us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

“ And say to the people,‘ Purify yourselves, for tomorrow you will have meat to eat. You were whining, and the Lord heard you when you cried,“ Oh, for some meat! We were better off in Egypt!” Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will have to eat it.

“ Tell the people: Consecrate yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you wept in the LORD’s hearing,‘ Who will feed us meat? We were better off in Egypt.’ The LORD will give you meat and you will eat.

And you shall say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying,“ Oh that someone would give us meat to eat! For we were well off in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat and you shall eat.

Then you shall say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

“ Tell the people: Purify yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you cried before the Lord:‘ Who will feed us meat? We really had it good in Egypt.’ The Lord will give you meat and you will eat.

“ And say to the people,‘ Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you will eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the LORD, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat, for life was good for us in Egypt?” Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat.

“ Say to the people,‘ Sanctify yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, and you will eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of Yahweh, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore Yahweh will give you meat, and you will eat.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to- day and to- morrow, and let them wash their garments,

And the people were as murmurers, speaking evil in the ears of Jehovah: and when Jehovah heard it, his anger was kindled; and the fire of Jehovah burnt among them, and devoured in the uttermost part of the camp.

to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but thrust him from them, and turned back in their hearts unto Egypt,

and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh- pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.Then said Jehovah unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.And it shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that Jehovah hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of Jehovah; for that he heareth your murmurings against Jehovah: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not near a woman.

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!And wherefore doth Jehovah bring us unto this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey: were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

And the mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt for nought; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:but now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all save this manna to look upon.

Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments:

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thing in the midst of thee, O Israel; thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the devoted thing from among you.

And the people came to Beth- el, and sat there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore.
