But he replied to him,“ I don’t want to go. Instead, I will go to my own land and my relatives.”

He answered,“ No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people.”

Hobab answered,“ No. I can’t go. I’m going back to my own land. I’m returning to my own people.”

But he said to him,“ I will not go. I will depart to my own land and to my kindred.”

But Hobab replied,“ No, I will not go. I must return to my own land and family.”

But he replied to him,“ I don’t want to go. Instead, I will go to my own land and my relatives.”

But he said to him,“ I will not come, but rather will go to my own land and relatives.”

And he said to him,“ I will not go, but I will depart to my own land and to my relatives.”

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

But Hobab said to him,“ I will not go, but I will go instead to my own land and to my kindred.”

He said to him,“ I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a place he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going.

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters— yes, and even his own life— he cannot be My disciple.

Naomi said,“ Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister-in-law.”But Ruth replied: Do not persuade me to leave you or go back and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May Yahweh punish me, and do so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.

“ He answered,‘ I don’t want to!’ Yet later he changed his mind and went.

Now you have gone off because you long for your father— but why have you stolen my gods?”

The Lord said to Abram: Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.

These all died in faith without having received the promises, but they saw them from a distance, greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.

From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.
