又要从以色列人的那一半中，就是从人、牛、驴、羊，各样牲畜中，每五十取一，交给照管耶和华帐幕的利未人。”

他们要替他，又替全会众，在会幕前执行任务，办理帐幕的事。他们要看守会幕一切的器具，为以色列人执行任务，办理帐幕的事。

无论是人或牲畜，摩西都每五十取一，交给照管耶和华帐幕的利未人，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

圣灵立你们作全群的监督，你们就当为自己谨慎，也为全群谨慎，牧养上帝的教会，就是他用自己血所买来的。我知道，在我离开以后必有凶暴的豺狼进入你们中间，不顾惜羊群。就是你们中间也必有人起来，说悖谬的话，要引诱门徒跟从他们。所以你们要警醒，记念我三年之久，昼夜不断地流泪劝戒你们各人。

耶和华击杀伯‧示麦人，因为他们观看他的约柜。他击杀了百姓七十人。百姓因耶和华大大击杀他们，就哀哭了。

你要派利未人管理法柜的帐幕和其中一切的器具，以及属帐幕的一切。他们要抬帐幕和其中一切的器具，并要办理帐幕的事务，在帐幕的四围安营。

在帐幕前东边，向日出的方向，安营的是摩西、亚伦和亚伦的儿子。他们负责看守圣所，是为以色列人看守的。近前来的外人必被处死。

务要传道；无论得时不得时总要专心，并以百般的忍耐和各样的教导责备人，警戒人，劝勉人。

要以宣读圣经，劝勉，教导为念，直等到我来。不要忽略你所得的恩赐，就是从前藉着预言、在众长老按手的时候赐给你的。这些事你要殷勤去做，并要在这些事上专心，让众人看出你的长进来。要谨慎自己和自己的教导，要在这些事上恒心，因为这样做，既能救自己，又能救听你的人。

就是先知说假预言，祭司把权柄抓在自己手上，我的百姓也喜爱这样，到了结局你们要怎么办呢？”

你也要带你弟兄利未人，就是你父系支派的人前来，与你联合，服事你。你和你的儿子要一起在法柜的帐幕前；他们要遵守你的吩咐，负责看守整个帐幕，只是不可挨近圣所的器具和祭坛，免得他们和你们都死亡。他们要与你联合，负责看守会幕和帐幕一切的事；只是外人不可挨近你们。你们要负责看守圣所和祭坛，免得愤怒再临到以色列人。

“这是有关利未人的：二十五岁以上的人都要前来任职，在会幕里事奉。到了五十岁，他们就要从事奉的工作中退休，不再事奉，只可在会幕里辅助他们的弟兄尽责，他们自己不再事奉了。关于利未人的职责，你要向他们这样做。”

因此，万军之耶和华论到先知如此说：“看哪，我必使他们吃茵陈，喝苦水；因为亵渎的事出于耶路撒冷的先知，遍及各地。”

至于我们，耶和华是我们的上帝，我们并没有离弃他。我们有事奉耶和华的祭司，都是亚伦的后裔，并有利未人各尽其职。
