The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.”

從以色列人那半份之中、無論是由人口、由牛、由驢、由羊羣、由各樣牲口之中、你都要將他們所擁有的、每五十取一，交給守盡永恆主帳幕之職守的利未人。』

他們要守盡亞倫的職守，也要在會棚前守盡全會眾的職守，來辦理帳幕的事務。他們要看守會棚裏一切的器具，也要守盡以色列人的職守，來辦理帳幕的事務。

摩西取了以色列人那半份、無論由人由牲口之中、他都將他們所擁有的每五十取一，交給守盡帳幕職守的利未人，照永恆主所吩咐摩西的。

聖靈在全羣中立你們做監督，你們要關顧到自己、以及全羣，牧養主的教會，就是他用自己的血所取得來的。我知道我離開了以後，必有兇暴的豺狼要進入你們中間，不顧惜羊羣。就是從你們自己中間、也必有人起來、說乖僻的話，要把門徒牽走、去跟從他們。所以你們要儆醒，記得我三年之久、晝夜不停地流淚勸戒你們每一個人。

但是耶哥尼雅的兒子們看見永恆主的櫃時候不和伯示麥人一同歡樂，永恆主就擊殺了他們七十個人；因為永恆主大大擊殺了眾民，眾民就哀悼。

只要派利未人管顧法櫃的帳幕、和其中的一切器具、以及一切屬於帳幕的；他們要抬帳幕、和其中的一切器具；他們要伺候帳幕，在帳幕四圍紮營。

在帳幕前、就是在東邊、在會棚前、日出的方向紮營的、是摩西、亞倫和亞倫的兒子們、守盡聖所的職守，替以色列人盡應盡的職守；走近前來非祭司的平常人必被處死。

你要傳道，無論得時不得時都要急切力行，用百般的恆忍和各樣的教訓讓人知罪、責備人、勸勉人。

你要在宣讀聖言上、在勸勉和教導上注意，直到我來。別輕忽在你身上屬靈的恩賜了；這恩賜是從前藉着神言之傳講、連同長老會之按手所賜給你的。這些事你要殷勤地實行，要專心致力在這上頭，使你的進步讓眾人看得明顯。要注意看你自己和你的教導；要在這些事上持之有恆；因為你這樣行，既能救你自己，又能救聽你的人。

就是神言人們以虛假傳神言，祭司們仗着他們的手法來掌權柄；我的人民竟喜愛這樣；到了結局、你們要怎樣行呢？

你也要帶你的族弟兄、利未支派的人、你祖宗族派的人、和你一同走近前來，叫他們跟你聯合而伺候你；只是你和你兒子們要和你一同在法櫃的帳棚前供職。他們要守盡你的職守、和全帳棚的職守，只是聖所的器具和祭壇、你們卻不可走近，免得他們死亡、連你們也和他們都死亡。他們要和你聯合，要守盡會棚的職守，辦理帳棚的一切事務；一切非利未族的平常人都不可走近你們。你們要守盡聖所的職守、和祭壇的職守，免得上帝的震怒再臨到以色列人。

『關於利未人的職守是這樣：從二十五歲和以上的、他們要進來、在會棚的事務上從事服役；從五十歲起、他們就要停止服役的事務，不再辦事，只要在會棚裏幫助他的弟兄們守盡職守，事務就不辦了。對於利未人的職守、你要這樣向他們行。』

因此萬軍之永恆主論到這些神言人是這麼說的：『看吧，我必將苦堇給他們喫，將毒苦水給他們喝；因為有褻瀆上帝的事從耶路撒冷的神言人發出，傳到遍地。』

至於我們呢、我們的上帝乃是永恆主，我們並沒有離棄了他；我們有事奉永恆主的祭司、都是亞倫的子孫，並且有利未人各盡其職。
