The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.”

從以色列人的一半之中，就是從人口、牛、驢、羊羣、各樣牲畜中，每五十取一，交給看守耶和華帳幕的利未人。」

替他和會眾在會幕前守所吩咐的，辦理帳幕的事。又要看守會幕的器具，並守所吩咐以色列人的，辦理帳幕的事。

無論是人口是牲畜，摩西每五十取一，交給看守耶和華帳幕的利未人，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。

聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養神的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。我知道，我去之後必有兇暴的豺狼進入你們中間，不愛惜羊羣。就是你們中間，也必有人起來說悖謬的話，要引誘門徒跟從他們。所以你們應當警醒，記念我三年之久晝夜不住地流淚、勸戒你們各人。

耶和華因伯‧示麥人擅觀他的約櫃，就擊殺了他們七十人；那時有五萬人在那裏。百姓因耶和華大大擊殺他們，就哀哭了。

只要派利未人管法櫃的帳幕和其中的器具，並屬乎帳幕的；他們要擡帳幕和其中的器具，並要辦理帳幕的事，在帳幕的四圍安營。

在帳幕前東邊，向日出之地安營的是摩西、亞倫，和亞倫的兒子。他們看守聖所，替以色列人守耶和華所吩咐的。近前來的外人必被治死。

務要傳道，無論得時不得時，總要專心，並用百般的忍耐、各樣的教訓責備人，警戒人，勸勉人。

你要以宣讀、勸勉、教導為念，直等到我來。你不要輕忽所得的恩賜，就是從前藉着預言、在眾長老按手的時候賜給你的。這些事你要殷勤去做，並要在此專心，使眾人看出你的長進來。你要謹慎自己和自己的教訓，要在這些事上恆心；因為這樣行，又能救自己，又能救聽你的人。

就是先知說假預言，祭司藉他們把持權柄；我的百姓也喜愛這些事，到了結局你們怎樣行呢？

你要帶你弟兄利未人，就是你祖宗支派的人前來，使他們與你聯合，服事你，只是你和你的兒子，要一同在法櫃的帳幕前供職。他們要守所吩咐你的，並守全帳幕，只是不可挨近聖所的器具和壇，免得他們和你們都死亡。他們要與你聯合，也要看守會幕，辦理帳幕一切的事，只是外人不可挨近你們。你們要看守聖所和壇，免得忿怒再臨到以色列人。

「利未人是這樣：從二十五歲以外，他們要前來任職，辦會幕的事。到了五十歲要停工退任，不再辦事，只要在會幕裏，和他們的弟兄一同伺候，謹守所吩咐的，不再辦事了。至於所吩咐利未人的，你要這樣向他們行。」

所以萬軍之耶和華論到先知如此說：我必將茵蔯給他們吃，又將苦膽水給他們喝；因為褻瀆的事出於耶路撒冷的先知，流行遍地。

至於我們，耶和華是我們的神，我們並沒有離棄他。我們有事奉耶和華的祭司，都是亞倫的後裔，並有利未人各盡其職，
