You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“你曾看见我们列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂听他们在红海边的哀求，

“你看见我们祖先在埃及所受的苦，又听见他们在红海边的呼求，

你看见我们的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂听他们在红海的哀求，

「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「你看見我們祖先在埃及所受的苦，又聽見他們在紅海邊的呼求，

你看見我們的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海的哀求，

『你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在蘆葦海邊的哀呼，

我之列祖、受苦於埃及、爾鑒之、哀號於紅海、爾聞之、

我之列祖於埃及、備受艱辛、爾鑒之、在紅海籲呼、爾聞之、

我列祖在伊及受艱苦、主鑒之、在紅海呼籲、主聽之、

“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw how our people of long ago suffered in Egypt. You heard them cry out to you at the Red Sea.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

“ You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea,

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

“ You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea,

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians coming after them. Then the Israelites were terrified and cried out to the Lord for help.They said to Moses:“ Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you took us to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Isn’t this what we told you in Egypt: Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”But Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord’s salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.”

Then the Lord said,“ I have observed the misery of My people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I know about their sufferings.I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the territory of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.The Israelites’ cry for help has come to Me, and I have also seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.

I have observed the oppression of My people in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to rescue them. And now, come, I will send you to Egypt.

God saw the Israelites, and He took notice.

“ Go and assemble the elders of Israel and say to them: Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has appeared to me and said: I have paid close attention to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt.
