主見其心誠信於主前、與之立約、許以迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、革迦西人之地、賜其苗裔、主為至義、已踐前言、

You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

You knew that his heart was faithful to you. And you made a covenant with him. You promised to give to his children after him a land of their own. It was the land of the Canaanites, Hittites and Amorites. The Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites also lived there. You have kept your promise. That’s because you always do what is right and fair.

“ Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it.The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?And the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,

And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said,‘ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.“ Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:

And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him,‘ I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’

Now the Lord had said to Abram:“ Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

to the Canaanites in the east and in the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the mountains, and the Hivite below Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

“ God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

And it came to pass when all the kings who were on this side of the Jordan, in the hills and in the lowland and in all the coasts of the Great Sea toward Lebanon— the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— heard about it,

So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

and said:“ By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

And He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

“ When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,

He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations,

and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
