So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.

Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.

然在遠方、爾如一心一意、求爾上帝耶和華、亦可得之、至於季世、爾遇艱辛、我所言之災、加乎爾身、斯時也、爾若歸爾上帝耶和華、而聽其命、則爾之上帝耶和華、甚為仁慈、必不棄爾、翦滅爾、與爾祖所立之盟約、亦不忘之。

民籲耶和華曰、我棄耶和華、事諸巴力亞大綠、以干罪戾、今可拯我於敵、我仍事爾。耶和華遣耶路巴力、比但、耶弗大、及我、援爾於四方之敵、俾爾安居。

以色列族曰、我已犯罪、任爾譴責、惟祈今日得救為幸。遂去他上帝、事耶和華。耶和華見以色列族困苦、則中心愀然。

使迦勒底王至、在聖室中、戮諸壯士、凡丁男、處女、耆年、耄耋者、俱無所惜、見虜於敵。

使之見敗於異邦、受制於仇敵兮、維彼寇讎、困迫之兮、恃強以凌虐兮、主屢行拯救、民乃背逆、自取罪戾、日就消亡兮。民逢禍患、主聞其籲、復加眷顧兮、追念聖約、體恤倍至、矜憫靡涯兮。

我儕違逆、不遵我之上帝耶和華、不從爾臣僕諸先知訓我之律例、我以色列眾犯爾律法、不遵爾命、我既獲罪、故爾僕摩西律例所載之咒詛、臨於我躬、爾素責我、及我士師、必降大災、今已應矣、降罰耶路撒冷、較天下民尤嚴、摩西律例所載諸災、加乎我躬、我猶不禱告我上帝耶和華、未悛我前愆、未學爾真理、故耶和華專其心思、降災於我、蓋我之上帝耶和華、恆秉大公、見我不遵命、遂降禍患、

以色列族、緣米田人故、匱乏特甚、呼籲耶和華。

耶和華既挺生士師、則祐彼拯民出敵手、至終其世、蓋民罹暴虐、號呼以籲、故耶和華中心惻焉。

嘗有預言、不欲殲滅以色列族於天下、故使約瞎子耶羅破暗為之援手。

故耶和華怒以色列族、付於四周之敵、為人所虜、莫能扞禦。無論所往、耶和華降以禍災、踐其疇昔發誓之言、民乃悚懼。耶和華挺生士師、援民於敵手、

故耶和華怒以色列族、付之於米所波大米王、古山哩薩田、為其役事、凡歷八年。以色列族籲耶和華、耶和華挺生迦勒弟、基納之子阿得業援以色列族。耶和華之神感之、為以色列族士師、導之以戰、耶和華以古山哩薩田付於其手、使之獲勝。自是以後、其地悉平、歷四十年、基納子阿得業死。以色列族又行惡於耶和華前、故耶和華使摩押王厄倫強盛、聚亞捫、亞馬力二族、攻以色列族、據有棗城。

必有救者、在彼郇山、治理以掃山、國之鈞衡、則歸耶和華焉。

謂摩西曰、爾必返本、斯民既詣斯土、必遺棄我、背我所立之約、狥己私欲、從異邦人之上帝。其時我必震怒、遺棄斯民、不復眷顧、使其並吞於人、多更災患、彼必曰、我不蒙上帝所佑、致遭此禍。夫斯民蹈於愆尤、從事他上帝、故不復鑒觀以眷顧之、
