耶和華使他乘駕地的高處，得吃田間的土產；又使他從巖石中吸蜜，從堅固的磐石中取油。

後來以色列人必歸回，尋求耶和華他們的神，尋求大衛他們的王。在末後的日子，他們必戰戰兢兢來到耶和華那裡，接受他的恩惠。

“以色列啊，你要聽，你今日快要過約旦河，進去趕出比你又大又強的列國，佔領堅固、高得頂天的城市。那地的民族又高又大，就是亞衲族的人，是你知道的，你也聽過有人指著他們說：‘誰能在亞衲族人面前站立得住呢？’所以今日你要知道，耶和華你的神要像烈火一樣在你面前過去；他要消滅他們，他要在你面前把他們征服；這樣你就可以照著耶和華吩咐你的，把他們趕走，使他們迅速滅亡。

你要使這子民的心思遲鈍（“遲鈍”直譯是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不靈，眼睛昏暗，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，得到醫治。”

你以恩典為年歲的冠冕，你的路徑都滴下脂油，

還是你藐視神豐富的恩慈、寬容和忍耐，不曉得他的恩慈是要領你悔改的嗎？

因為耶和華你的神快要領你進入那美地；那地有河流，有泉，有源，水從谷中和山上流出來；那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹；那地有橄欖樹、油和蜜；你在那地必不缺乏食物，在那裡你必一無所缺；那地的石頭就是鐵；從那裡的山上，你可以挖出銅來。你吃飽了，就要稱頌耶和華你的神，因為他把那美地賜了給你。

我必用肥脂使祭司的心滿足；我的子民必因我的美物飽足。”這是耶和華的宣告。
