你们的儿女必在旷野飘流四十年，担当你们背信之罪，直到你们的尸体在旷野都灭尽了。照着你们窥探那地的日数共四十天，一天算一年，你们要担当罪孽四十年，你们就知道我为什么与你们作对。’

又在旷野容忍（“容忍”有些抄本作“养育”）他们，约有四十年之久；

你也要记念耶和华你的神这四十年在旷野引导你的一切路程，为要使你受苦，要试炼你，要知道你心里怎样，看看你肯守他的诫命不肯。

以色列家啊！你们在旷野四十年，有献燔祭和素祭给我吗？

我在旷野四十年之久领导你们；你们身上的衣服没有穿破，脚上的鞋也没有穿坏。
