不欲順從、不追念主為其所行之奇事、強項背逆、自立一長、欲返為奴之地、惟主為天主赦宥、仁慈、矜憐、容忍、大施恩惠、仍不棄之、

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

They refused to listen to you. They forgot the miracles you had done among them. So they became stubborn. When they refused to obey you, they appointed a leader for themselves. They wanted to go back to being slaves in Egypt. But you are a God who forgives. You are gracious. You are tender and kind. You are slow to get angry. You are full of love. So you didn’t desert them.

They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

他們忘掉了他所行的，以及他顯明給他們的奇妙作為。

主啊，你是美善的，赦免人的；對所有呼求你的人，你有豐盛的慈愛！

但主啊，你是有憐憫、有恩惠的神！你不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛和信實。

他們不記念他手的能力，不記念他救贖他們脫離敵人的日子。那時他在埃及顯出他的神蹟，在瑣安的田野顯出他的奇事。

邪惡的人要離棄自己的道路，作惡的人要撇棄自己的意念；他們當回轉歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐憫他們；當回轉歸向我們的神，因為神必廣施赦免。耶和華宣告：「我的意念非同你們的意念，你們的道路非同我的道路；天怎樣高過地，照樣，我的道路高過你們的道路，我的意念高過你們的意念。

但他們很快就忘記了他的作為，也沒有等候他的帶領。

他多次解救他們，他們卻圖謀悖逆，在自己的罪孽中墮落。然而，當他聽到他們呼聲的時候，就垂顧他們的危難，為他們的緣故，記念自己的約，照著他豐盛的慈愛回心轉意；又使他們在所有擄走他們的人面前蒙憐憫。

然而神有憐憫，贖清了他們的罪孽，沒有施行毀滅；他多次使他的怒氣轉消，沒有發盡他的怒火。

他們厭棄那美好之地，不相信他的話語；他們在自己的帳篷中發怨言，不聽耶和華的聲音；

我們的祖先在埃及時，不明白你的奇妙作為，不記念你豐盛的慈愛，反倒在紅海邊悖逆。

耶和華有憐憫、有恩惠，不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛。他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有照著我們的罪過對待我們，也沒有照著我們的罪孽報應我們。因為天離地有多麼高，他的慈愛向敬畏他的人也多麼大；東離西有多麼遠，他使我們的過犯離我們也多麼遠；父親怎樣憐憫自己的兒女，耶和華也怎樣憐憫敬畏他的人；因為他知道我們的本體，記念我們不過是塵土。至於世人，他的年日如草一樣，他興旺如野地的花，經風一吹，就不復存在，連自己的地方也不再認識它。但是耶和華的慈愛臨到敬畏他的人，從永遠到永遠；他的公義歸於他們的子子孫孫，就是那些遵守他的約，並記住他的訓誡去遵行的人。

然而赦免在於你，好使人敬畏你。

所以，雖然你們已經知道這些事，又在你們已有的真理上得了堅固，我還是要不斷地提醒你們。我認為，只要我還在這帳篷裡，就理當用提醒的話來激發你們，因為我知道我脫離這帳篷的時候快到了，就像我們的主耶穌基督也曾向我指明的。我也要努力，使你們在我離世以後，時常想起這些事。

耶和華有恩惠、有憐憫，不輕易發怒，並大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬有，他的憐憫臨到他所造的一切。

我們的祖先不肯順從，反而棄絕了他，甚至在心裡轉回埃及去，

你們還不明白嗎？難道不記得那五個餅給五千人，你們收拾了幾個籃子的碎塊嗎？也不記得那七個餅給四千人，你們收拾了幾個筐子的碎塊嗎？你們怎麼不明白，我對你們說的不是餅的事，而是要你們提防法利賽人和撒都該人的酵母呢？」

歸於他恩典榮耀的稱讚，這恩典是他在愛子裡特別賜給我們的。在他裡面，我們藉著他的血，得蒙救贖、過犯得到赦免，都是出於神恩典的豐盛。

因為神對摩西說：「我要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰；我要同情誰，就同情誰。」

你們要當心，不要拒絕向你們說話的那一位。要知道，那些拒絕了在地上警告他們的，尚且無法逃脫懲罰，更何況我們背棄從天上警告我們的那一位呢！

既然我呼喚了，你們拒絕，我伸出了手，沒有人留心，
