In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

看哪，我要在何烈的磐石那裏，站在你面前。你要擊打磐石，水就會從磐石流出來，給百姓喝。」摩西就在以色列的長老眼前這樣做了。

並且都吃了一樣的靈糧，也都喝了一樣的靈水，所喝的是出於跟隨着他們的靈磐石；那磐石就是基督。

看，我將這地擺在你們面前。你們要進去得這地，就是耶和華向你們列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要賜給他們和他們後裔為業之地。」

耶和華對摩西說：「看哪，我要從天降食物給你們。百姓可以出去，每天收集當天的分量。這樣，我就可以考驗他們是否遵行我的指示。

那一層露水蒸發之後，看哪，曠野的表面出現了小圓物，好像地上的薄霜一樣。以色列人看見了，不知道是甚麼，就彼此說：「這是甚麼？」摩西對他們說：「這是耶和華給你們吃的食物。

他們祈求，他就使鵪鶉飛來，並用天上的糧食使他們飽足。他敲開磐石，水就湧出；在乾旱之處，水流成河。

並且我在曠野向他們起誓，必不領他們進入我所賜的流奶與蜜之地，就是全地中最美好之地；

他叫磐石變為水池，使堅石變為泉源。

我們的祖宗在曠野吃過嗎哪，如經上寫着：『他從天上賜下糧食來給他們吃。』」於是耶穌對他們說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，那從天上來的糧不是摩西賜給你們的，那從天上來的真糧是我父賜給你們的。因為上帝的糧就是那位從天上降下來，並且賜生命給世界的。」於是他們對他說：「主啊，請常常把這糧賜給我們！」耶穌對他們說：「我就是生命的糧。到我這裏來的，絕不飢餓；信我的，永不乾渴。

他磨煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裏所出的一切話。

曾引領你經過那大而可怕的曠野，有火蛇、蠍子、乾旱無水之地。他也曾為你使水從堅硬的磐石中流出來，又在曠野將你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，為要磨煉你，考驗你，終久使你享福。

你賜下你良善的靈教導他們，沒有收回嗎哪不給他們吃，仍賜水給他們解渴。

降嗎哪像雨，給他們吃，將天上的糧食賜給他們。各人就吃大能者的食物；他賜下糧食，使他們飽足。

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你拿着杖去，和你的哥哥亞倫召集會眾，在他們眼前吩咐磐石湧出水來，水就會從磐石流出，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。」於是摩西遵照耶和華所吩咐他的，從耶和華面前拿了杖去。摩西和亞倫召集會眾到磐石前。摩西對他們說：「聽着，你們這些悖逆的人！我們要叫這磐石流出水來給你們嗎？」摩西舉起手來，用杖擊打磐石兩下，就有許多水流出來，會眾和他們的牲畜都喝了。但是耶和華對摩西、亞倫說：「因為你們不信我，沒有在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不能領這會眾進入我所要賜給他們的地去。」這就是米利巴水，因以色列人與耶和華爭鬧，耶和華在他們面前顯為聖。

看，耶和華－你的上帝已將那地擺在你面前，你要照耶和華－你列祖的上帝所說的，上去得那地為業。不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。』

必不得進我所起誓應許給你們居住的那地。惟有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才能進去。

「我的僕人摩西死了。現在你要起來，和眾百姓過這約旦河，往我所要賜給以色列人的地去。凡你們腳掌所踏之地，我都照我所應許摩西的話賜給你們了。從曠野和這黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼發拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你們的疆土。

你曾用膀臂贖了你的子民，就是雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）上帝啊，眾水見你，眾水一見你就都驚惶，深淵也都戰抖。密雲倒出水來，天空發出響聲，你的箭也飛行四方。你的雷聲在旋風之中，閃電照亮世界，大地戰抖震動。你的道在海中，你的路在大水之中，你的腳蹤無人知道。你曾藉摩西和亞倫的手引導你的百姓，好像領羊羣一般。
